So I stopped between my first and second jobs, to grab some tickets.

Got 3 of the $10 frenzy and 6 of the $5 frenzy

$10 Frenzy

009 - Loser

010 - Loser

011 - $20 winner /w single match

$5 Frenzy

004 - Loser

005 - Loser

006 - Loser

007 - $5 winner /w single match

008 - Loser

009 - Loser

So it looks like I put $60 in and got $25 back out.  That puts me down $35 on the day and down $375 total for the year.

I have a halfway good feeling about these frenzy tickets, I'll try a few more over the next two weeks and then go back into

hibernation.

Good luck to everyone playing.

I bought my $20 on new tickets. Paid back $14 and then lost it. Store owner mentioned the odds getting worse, so I looked. These $10 are 1 in 3.79. The $10 Christmas was 1 in 3.2. Other random $10 tickets I looked at were like 1 in 3.4ish. Oz is 3.58 and Buried Treasure was 3.47. 10X was 3.25.... Just seems the odds are getting worse and worse. Sorry Tom Wolf. I have seen the light and you can keep your tickets.

I didn't even see any new tickets here today. Maybe that is a good thing. I tried $30 at Acme on Cash Kapow and Solid Gold (3 of each), and not one winner. I guess it was too much to think a new governor would make the lottery better. He has other things higher on his agenda I am sure. Well I am thinking about taking a month long break if I get the new tickets tomorrow and get more losers and ticket value.

Wow...doesn't sound good at all. How dumb do they think we are anyway? About the best ticket lately for me

has been the older yellow $1 Million. I found a $500 and 2 $250s on those. Stars for winners and 10x. I don't

know how they do it but they must cycle them through different areas. Like I said many times before, so much

for random. It does not exist. When you have an empire such as PA Lottery, you don't let random exist in the

kingdom. Someone might actually win FREQUENTLY.

They have a heavy hand in where the winners - ANY type of winners - go.

And lol omiller....the remark about Wolf. He's up to more than simply overseer...he's eyeing lottery wins over $600

for STATE taxes now....afterall, there is a $2B deficit. What a dork. I hope half the playing state quits if that takes

place. Fat chance and he knows it.

Do you mean the Payout ticket, dr? Unfortunately losers just cycle through here, lol. Congrats on your wins. I really hope Wolf does not do that. Not to get political here but it's safe to say we all agree that lotto needs no more taxing. I mean it is not the wealthy who need to play. I will look for new ones later, but may be a one day and done thing.

Went back down around 5 or 6 PM yesterday, cashed in the $25 and tried a few more.

Got two more tens and a five of the "frenzy" tickets, all losers. Bought an additional 2 of the

$10 frenzy tickets and the second was a $20 winner with a "super" symbol.

$105 in yesterday and $45 back out, I believe that takes me to about $400 down on the year.

I've noticed the odds getting worse, and even looking at the new $10 frenzy there are only 8 top prizes

instead of 10. An extra $600,000 laying out there. I'll bet the "idea" is that because there are so many

$1,000 "frenzy" prizes that it's ok to cut out two top prizes. I don't know. I think I might casually play

the $5 frenzy for a bit. It's getting easier and easier to not play or play very little.

            Good luck everyone.

I found the new tickets today....not impressed really. Just like the rest. Nothing big or outstanding to report.

I watched some guy go in and out of the mini-mart repeatedly buying the $10 Frenzy's. He either came in after

a bigger win or just before one. He didn't redeem any of them and played about 7 from what I saw. He was shaking

his head and tossing them. That's at least $70 in the trash. They all can't be winners but I'd like to think at least

a $10 was in there for him.

I tried them and got only my money back on the $10's and nothing big on the $5's either. I think I'll stay with the

yellow $20 ones, I got at least a $30 and $25 on those 2 today...a bit more than ticket cost but no party time either.

Went to the beer store and got $50 in new tickets. Asked the owner if he saw anyone hawking, and he said no. So was optimistic. Ended up very mediocre anyway.

                Got 10 Super $100 Frenzys #001-010 - #001 was a free ticket and #005 was $10

Got 2 Super $500 Frenzys #005 and #006 - both lost. Same numbers lost on a $5 game at Acme yesterday.

Got 2 Super $1,000 Frenzys #008 and #009 - both won but for $15 and $10. Can they spare it, geez.

Probably done for today unless I decide to use winnings.

I file my taxes online and the 2 times I had claims, I owed the state money. I think I used my tax service vs the free PA State File site. Was that not suppose to be taxed? I have to file next year with the 2 claims tickets, so I am curious if I paid and I shouldn't have.

Gambling wins were not taxable to the state of PA before (now it looks like that is changing however) and when filing in the past I'm not even sure

you'd have been able to put that information on a state tax return. If you did, you would include it on a W2-G usually and in the breakdown of your

income there would be a spot for those types of incomes so the state should have known how to file it and you shouldn't have been taxed on it.

If you still have copies of it, I'd take them to have a "second look". I know many professional tax preparation services will double check old returns usually either for free, very cheaply or they will do it as a promotion to get "new customers". It might be worth it, unless you have friends who are in the know about tax stuff... let them look over it and make sure the state didn't tax you on your previous gambling winnings.

Gambling winners were only ever taxable on the federal level here in PA up until Wolf hatched his bright ideas. Worth a double check.

Yeah I am personally happy to have Wolf but some of his tax ideas are more geared against the middle class than I thought. Will have to check this. I'll go to Acme later today with my $27 in winnings.

Yeah. Looks like I paid roughly 3%. I always break even. My $1K claim I paid $30ish and my $3300 at the casino was $96 in state. One was 2009 filing and one was 2012 filing, so I am not sure how far they can go back.  Guess I should have used PA's site vs my online place I use for federal.

                        Thanks for the insight

Dropped around $70 on the new $5 and $10 frenzy tickets from multiple locations. All were losers. Can't say I'm really caring for this new game at all.

One of the Acme $1,000 Frenzys won $20. Took that to Giant in Royersford and bought 5 $500 Frenzys to end. Had 2 $5 winners on those - well, 500 pennies each! Lol. Got some wins today but nothing of note. Probably time for another break.

I have some Maryland tickets coming to work tomorrow. We have a branch office there. I will let everyone know how they did and what the odds are. Told her to grab me a 20-10-5-2-2-1.. Slim chance I might be in Delaware this weekend and plan to get some. I am fine with still playing, just really don't want any parts of PA right now,
