      Story time: for awhile now I figured at the end of this year, I will cut back dramatically. I haven't purchased a roll lately and I been really feeling the $20 1 Million Fever ticket. I was talking to the store owner and another heavy player who was pretty cute. Guess I know where to register if her and I got married. Can you register for wedding gifts at Pa Lottery:)  Anyway we got talking and I said packs always pay front half or back half and generally 9 winners.  He only had 1 pack of Fever left unopened, so I grabbed it

      On the way home I stopped at Sheetz and got 1 each of Big Money, Fever and the Christmas $20. Fever hit $50 and Christmas hit $100, so i was off and running. started scratching the pack.

      002=$30

      004=$20

      005=$20

      007=$500 with 5 matches @$100

      010=$50

      011=$50

      012=$30

      014=$20

      ** Ok, I am at the midway point. 8 tickets won for a total of $720... If the rest of the pack bombs, I am still up $120 max($600pack)+$150 from earlier for $270.. Still a good day and the pack seems hot, so lets continue....................

      021=$20

      026=$100. This is win #10 and I really thought after the last $20 it would have been done. Nice little surprise, but still a dud of a 2nd half

      Pack total was $840, which is the only time I ever profited on a pack. $240 profit(didn't pay him the $600 yet), so basically I walk in and he owes me $390($240+$150 from Sheetz).. Not too bad and I like doing it this way. Better than paying $600 to get the money back or paying $600 to get $300 back and be tempted to play it all.. I was hoping for the 10X burst. Still never saw one of those.

        My own edition of story time:

        I haven't really been playing tickets at all, I don't know that I've

        bought a single instant ticket. I just haven't done well on them.

        For a while I've been thinking I should start going back at the christmas

        tickets doing my usual $100 worth of the $20 tickets at a time. Last year

        I score three $500 tickets that way. I find out last night, that at the store I

        normally play at, someone hit 1 MILLION on a $20 ticket. I haven't found out

        for sure exactly which ticket it is, but I'm guessing it was the christmas ticket.

        I was kicking myself in the rear, but from what I understand now the person bought

        the ticket a few days ago. I got a late birthday card in the mail a few days ago and was

        contemplating doing the 5X $20 tickets with it. If it turns out it was the christmas ticket

        I will really be kicking myself.... to be that close to scoring a million dollar winner. That store

        is literally less than two blocks from where I live.

        I did hit $25 on a match six ticket....

          Lottery is def alot of what if games. You just never know.

          Cashed my tickets today. Had $390. Played the final 2-$20 Monopoly and lost

          Grabbed the final 4-$30 tickets and hit $180, so I am back up to $410. Grab a $10 ticket and it lost.

          The way his counter is setup, I can easily grab my own tickets. Grab a $20 xmas and it lost. Grabbed a 2nd. As I was grabbing it, my knuckle hit the $10 Xmas next to it. The $20 lost, so I am down $40. Decide to grab another $20 and the $10 since I touched it. The $20 lost again, but here is what the $10 produced.  Just been one of those right time/place weeks. I have certainly had more big winners this year than any other year, but I still feel there is alot more garbage filler...   I grabbed some more tickets with the $400 from earlier. May hold the 1K to the new tax year... Also have $60 worth of Florida tickets coming Friday from co workers coming up for the holiday party, so I will let you know if any of those hit

              Thanks Skeptic. I told the co worker to grab me a 25/20/10/5 .. the office in is Ft Lauderdale, but I think she leaves near Hollywood. Any ticket you prefer over another?

                        Well I can now officially say I am done.. Just found out I don't have enough to itemize other than gambling winnings. Which means I owe taxes on all my winnings this year even though I have the losses. Nail in the coffin in the reasons it isn't worth it.   Good luck all.. Hope one of you guys hit the big one.

                            It's a crappy thing IMO.... gambling losses should be deductible from

                            your taxed winnings even if you can't itemize.  I know a lot of people

                            don't think about the fact that your itemizations need to be larger than

                            your standard deduction in order for it to make sense, but either way

                            it's really crappy that they can tax you on it but you have to eat the losses

                            it took to get it.

                            I'm thinking I'm about done as well, at least for the rest of this year. I bought

                            8 of the $5 christmas tickets yesterday from the beer store that sold the million

                            dollar winner on Tuesday and went 1 out of 8 on them for a crappy $5 win.

                            I had tickets 019-022 and 043-046.... 046 was a $5 winner.

                            The lady at the beer store told me yesterday that the winning million dollar ticket

                            was on a $20 Christmas ticket and it was a single match with the number 32

                              Cashed in the $5 winner from last night, and saw it was on a brand new pack of

                              the $5 christmas tickets. Like a fool, I bought 5 of them. I hit $5 on the very last

                              ticket.

                              So that now makes 13 tickets purchased, a total of $65 spent and a grand total

                              of $10 won. What a complete joke, I guess I cleared the way for others to make

                              a few nice hits off those packs.
