Morning G5, thanks!
LOL, I didn't notice the 15/16 thing, I was just happy that my 2nd run is still running.
Life is a Pachinko Machine; I showed up here, on this forum, "angry" about the 5/6/16 STEWART'S SHOPS #205 draw,
looking for other angry players, but instead found a bunch of kind and considerate humans. And I just noticed mrsd has
a Beagle in her sig: Heaven is a place where I'm surrounded by a hundred jumping and running Beagles!
Tmmrw I'll roll whatever comes from the results.
Yeah Guy, we're all a bunch of nice people.... Crazy but nice people!
I'm probably the craziest of the bunch, so don't stand too close to me. You dont wanna get what I got! ;-)
We're from all over NY State. We're from Albany, Oneida County, Brooklyn, The Hudson Valley (that'd be me and you) and also Queens.
I go over to Connecticut a lot. (I have a daughter that goes to college over there. As a matter of fact I'm going over there today because her car has a problem that I have to take care of.) While I'm over there I'm gonna buy some Connecticut SuperDraw tickets. Since you're like me and are located fairly close to Ct, you may be interested in SuperDraw. It's a raffle for one million dollars. A max of 275,000 tickets will be sold, and the drawing is Sunday July 6th. Tickets aren't cheap, they're 10 bucks each. If tickets don't sell out, then they just draw the winner from the pool of tickets that were sold. Ct does this twice per year, on The Fourth of July and also on New Years Day. January 1st 2014 was the most recent drawing, and tickets did not sell out. They only sold 251,000 tickets for it, so the odds of wining the one million dollar top prize were decreased from 275,000 to 1 to 251,000 to1. When someone buys a ticket, a six digit number is pre-printed by the lottery terminal on the ticket, so you cant choose your own number. Just like in New York State, you can buy a ticket in any gas station, liquor store, convenience store or supermarket that sells lottery tickets for The State of Connecticut. There is only one winner of the top prize of a million dollars, but there are many lower tier prizes. There's a couple of $20,000 prizes, some $1,000 prizes and a lot of $100 prizes. All prizes will be awarded no matter how many tickets are sold because it's a raffle. I play in a pool with seven other guys where I work. We each throw in 10 bucks a month for the three months tickets are on sale. (They started selling tickets for the July 4th drawing in May, and they'll be sold from today until they sell out all 275,000 of them, or until July 6th, the date of the drawing.) The guys at work and I won a hundred bucks last January. We had a total of 24 tickets for the drawing so we lost money, but I can tell you the guys kept asking me "Are we gonna play again in July?" So if you happen to be near I-84, remember that Danbury is a short 20 minute straight shot across The Newburgh Beacon Bridge. Once you cross that state line on 84, you can buy a ticket almost anywhere right there by the highway. Good Luck! G5
