A guy posted in the comments section for the article that appeared here on The LP that he had sent an email to The NYS Lottery asking what the start date was. They replied back to him it's Sept 29th.

I like the set of six numbers you posted as the best numbers to wheel.

4 is the number that has been drawnn the most (80 times) in all 416 SM drawings.

Just curious why you didnt include 24. Like 23 and 25, it's been drawn 70 times over the lifespan of the game.

I'm not a programmer, but I worked with programmers for many years so I have a good idea of what programmers do.

I posted the wheel numbers to help wheel players. I don't play in New York.

Any number comming out 20 or more times in any given year is a lot. For instance in 2012, the 17 popped 22 times. It was the number that hit the most in 2012.

On the flip side, the 9 came out only 10 times in 2012. In 2012, most numbers appear to have come out about an average of 14 times.

So the big question is; will the 10, 11, 16, 23 & 40 come out some more, or is their race run???

The 40 came back last nite after having skipped 21 draws. It lead's the pack having been out 17 times this year. The 10, 11,16 and 23 are right behind it at 16 times. Looks like it could be the number that'll be drawn the most this year. If it comes out 5 or 6 more times in the next 30 drawings, then it will probably be the hottest number of 2013.

I've been playing the 40 on a few of my lines each drawing. Caught it and the 35 last nite but nuthin else.

What is everyone talking about Sweet Million is one of the best odd games out there. Which game you know costs $1 to win a million with a 1in 3.8 milllion. Powerball has 1 in 5.1 million to win a million, if you play mega milliions megaplier you win a million with a 1 in 3.9million, but it costs a dollar more. Come on its all about the odds.

You couldnt be more correct if you had to be!! I think people dont like the game because of SM's lousy lower tier prizes and the fact that the JP doesnt roll over. But their thinking is flawed. It definitely is all about the odds. You're right too that it has the best odds to win a million anywhere. I know that because I checked the other state's lottery's websites, and you wont find anything with odds as good or better anywhere.

I normally buy the PowerPlay or The Megaplier when I play either PB or MM. (Personally, I think it's nuts not to buy it, but that's just me. I do it because I'm trying to get the first five numbers and win the second prize of either 2 million or 1 million.)

But there is an even smarter way to do it by playing Sweet Million. When I play SM, I make my own "PowerPlay". I play a line of six numbers twice on my ticket(s). I do that because SM isnt pari-mutuel for the first 5 JP winners. (Like The NYS Lottery would ever see 5 JP winners in the same draw. Hell, they cant get 1 JP winner in most draws!) If that line of 6 numbers that I bought twice came in, I'd win 2 million dollars. Doing this is better than buying the PowerPlay in PB because as you correctly pointed out, SM's odds are 1 in 3.8 million. PB's odds are 1 in 5.1 million and the line costs 3 bucks, in SM, it cost 2 bucks. It's better than adding The MegaPlier because although I'd pay 2 bucks per line in MM (same cost as SM) I'd win just 1 million in MM, and the odds in MM to win that million bucks are 100,000 to 1 higher than SM.

I might add that if I had 5 numbers on that SM line I bought twice, the lower tier prize of $500 would become $1,000. 80 bucks for 4 number etc.....

Play the same winning numbers ten times and somebody else wins. Your share would be 9/10. What ever lotteries say, they can lie bricks and they just want you to play to earn money.

In fact a million first price as guarantee is nice. For the small prices the fun is small. For the odds the payout is still small as they take money for themselves and organising the games. (...)

Fair game? No, the rake is huge.
