Mr. Gray, you've been having a nice run these last few days. Keep up the good work!
I did go to Publix before work this afternoon. Not a lotta pleasure there. Stayed with the Fab 4's and bought 4 from the counter...248-251...and all were loosers. Got another 4 from the machine...260-263...and got 2 winners. Each had a single '4'...for a dollar. Think I'll take tomorrow off and try the Marathon station again next week. Good night all, and have a winning weekend...
I have now spent 45.00 on the new games, winning 23.00, leaving me down 22.00. Sigh...

I've spoken on the lesser games with the clerks at a few of the places I frequent for tickets and they've unanimously suggested avoiding the $1 games. The context of that suggestion was that I asked how often anyone comes up with a winner above ticket-value. Answer: almost never.
With the $2 tickets, my experience (confirmed by a couple of the clerks as well) has been that the $2 Gold Rush seems to have the highest frequency of good wins relative to ticket value. In other words, it seems like the other $2 games will give up $2 and $4 wins almost exclusively, but with the $2 Gold Rush you'll at least occasionally see $20, $50, $100.
One of the clerks told me yesterday he's seen people doing well on that new $3 Bingo game too.
For now I'm sticking to the Shimmering 7's while that game winds down. It's been better to me lately than anything else. A string of decent winners means that a week later I'm still playing on my original $20 -- all I do is trade out tickets once a day.

Well, I did not take a break. I did go to Marathon however...and lost. Got 5 of the Guy Harvey tickets, #057-061 and got a single match on #59 for $4.00. $55 spent, $27 won = $-28 for the new games.
MrGray, good fortune on those Shimmering 7's. If that's working for you, keep it up. I DO miss the old games...Bring on the Bens, 7's, Lucky Loot...even the $2.00 monopoly's and ruby riches. Gonna stay with the new games tho, at least until I loose a hundred. After that, who knows? It's hit and lots of misses here in Highlands County.

Last 10 winners I win on all money back I really think they should have it double the ticket price as minimum prize. Risking $20 to $25 to only win back your money not good odds I guess I'm dumb enough to buy them :( lol

I know your pain. I've been buying the $200K/yr for Life and Florida Cash tickets and either I win a breakeven amount or I spend $100 to finally win $40. I think I'm going to take a few weeks off at the end of the month. None of the $20 games really entice me and the $25 Florida Cash has been feast or famine. Mr. Gray, good job on your wins. $100 prizes on a $5 ticket are elusive.

I took a few weeks off from playing scratchers after the bad month of July I experienced. This morning I hit the Food & Lotto store and now regret it.
Purchased:
4 x $25 Florida Cash - all losers
4 x $20 Gold Rush - all losers
5 x $10 200 Million Spectacular - won $10, $10, $50, 2 losers
5 x $5 Golden Ticket - all losers, 5 in a row #03-07
5 x $5 Shimmering 7s - won $5, $20, the rest losers
200 Million Dollar Spectacular had the best return and the only profit. Shimmering 7s broke even. All the rest sucked. I guess I need to stick with the older games as the newer ones should be in the scam category.

Sorry you had such a bad run this morning.
And I agree on the newer games. I went through about thirty of the Florida Cash tickets when it came out and only got a few hits at ticket value and a ton of losers. Bought eight of the Golden Ticket on release last week and got one hit for $15 and then seven duds. The $20 Gold Rush has done nothing but hurt me.
I played the Week For Life games while the Second Chance promotion was running (which I won nothing on), and across what must be about 200 of the $10 tickets I saw $200 once and $100 once, but other than that I got ticket-value wins and many, many, many losers. Though mine may only be a relatively small sample size, I didn't come anywhere close to the published odds on that game. More like 1:7 in my experience.
So, I'm with you, sticking to the older games, specifically the $5 games since I've never had much luck on the $200M Spectacular and I refuse to touch the $200k Lucky for Life on account of I played a ton of them some years ago and got burned again and again. Right now the older $5 are doing okay for me, sometimes I get a decent hit, but mostly I'm just getting enough small winners to keep going for at least a few days.

From WFTV website this morning. Florida Lottery hits new low:
BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. —
A Brevard County man said he had a winning lottery ticket only to have the state deny him his winnings.
Robert Klosterman said he is owed $1,000 for a scratch-off ticket he bought in June at a Shell gas station on Fay Boulevard in Cocoa.
Klosterman, 68, said he thought June 2 was a lucky day for him, but that it turned out otherwise.
"I don't want to call them idiots, but they are. They are bureaucrats," Klosterman said
Klosterman said when he tried to cash in his ticket at the Florida Lottery office, workers there claimed it was forged.
"I kept my cool. I was in the lottery office. After they explained to me, I walked out. (I) fumed a little bit, didn't say anything to anybody and just drove back to Cocoa," Klosterman said.
Klosterman said, as soon as he won, he signed the ticket, but the pen was out of ink. So he used another pen to clean up his signature. That is why he said officials believe the signature was forged.
I"I've known him for at least 10 years and he is one of our biggest customers," Shell gas station owner Samir Patel said. "As long as he can prove that is his ticket, he should be able to get his money back."
Florida Lottery officials told Channel 9 that they are looking into Klosterman's claim.
Klosterman said he would like for them to hurry up, saying he's been waiting more than two months for his winnings.
"That ticket is probably in his in-basket and it's going to stay there until they teach me a lesson, that they are powerful and I am a nobody," Klosterman said.
