"Betting systems votaries are spiritually akin to the proponents of perpetual motion
machines, butting their heads against the second law of thermodynamics."
The Theory of Gambling and Statistical Logic by  Richard Arnold Epstein

What would Richard know about spirituality Jammy?

Nice find Ronnie.  It seems RAE was also a "Rocket Man"

Was Arnold Epstein the guy who fixed the 1919 World Series?

I suppose anything is possible in your world, but in mine, the Richard Arnold Epstein who wrote The Theory of Gambling and Statistical Logic, was born in 1927.

Jammy, you spoke a word of truth in distain................

All things are possible, but only for those who believe.

Yes Jammy it's true, I have abiding faith in the book you call "myths and fairy tales".

I don't recall ever visiting Distain.

Are religion and politics important aspects of your system development work?

I think RAE is saying in your signature that betting is a spiritual endeavor.  Thanks for the heads up!

Not so much that putting money down is spiritual but that using logic (god given) and intuition (god given) to get BETTER ODDS, in a minute solar system of lottery balls ( also god given)  is therefore by default Spiritual.

And since my money says "IN god we trust" then maybe I am hoping god will guide me in my bets and my playing"

                    After all,

0123 doesn't hit in pick 4 everyday in my state or in all states.

                    neither does 3210.

But sometimes 0101  and 0110 will hit and pay more boxed.

Jimmy doesn't realize it, but he holds the secret in cracking the lottery with his pick 4 wagers that he puts on the board when he posts 0123

                    and 1123 and 3140.  Wink

No but its clearly an important part of everything YOU post Jammy.

It's hard for any of us to be totally separate from our beliefs, even when we try.

But it really helps to try sometimes.

Give this an honest effort.  I'm serious...

Quite a unique "johnny" Jammy. I admire your attempts to keep things separate, however your doubts and skepticism are quite prolific in most all your posts. Meditation on nothing will lead you nowhere.

Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.

If, after disagreeing with someone who claimed that 'One plus one equals three', they called you a skeptic, what would your response be?

Thanks for the book recommendation but I'm content with Yoga and Meditation.
