Your favorite prayer quip, huh?

Mr Harris doesn't have ears to hear. Neither do you.

One day you and Mr Harris may not find President Bush speaking to God so funny.

Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

 -Matthew 13: 9

Because it is given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

-Matthew 13: 11

Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not: and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

 -Matthew 13: 13-16

I hope someday you and Mr Harris open your hearts.

But it's your right to do as you wish.

I'll be sticking with the Man who took the nails for me.

Regardless of anybody's "quips."

"I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours" -Stephen Roberts

"The invisible and the non-existent look very much alike" -Delos B. McKown

Clearly we will not be agreeing on godly matters. But I absolutely agree with you on this one point "But it's your right to do as you wish", as it is yours to believe as you wish.  I believe in an individuals right to live as they see fit. I believe in free will. As long as the religious minded folks don't try to force me to  believe their stories or live my life based upon their views on morality then we can get along just fine. Different strokes for different folks.

In no way am I against God or the mention of "His Holy Name"

She said she would thank God. I didn't ask who would you thank did I? I asked who would you tell first and why?

Anyway, if you're a religious person and believe that God is all-knowing then why would you have to tell/thank him anyway? He'd already know because he did it. Also, what makes you stand out from the millions of other devout hard-working Christians who play the lottery? You're thanking him for favoring you over everyone else who prayed for the same thing? I thought he was supposed to be fair and just...?

      LET ME BE CLEAR HERE

I'm looking for answers that have to do with physical beings that you can touch, smell, hear, and see. Not spiritual ones.

I don't want to step on any fragile toes by offending you or your beliefs.

Maybe next time I'll be more specific in my original post.

Don't be so sensitive. It was a good question, just read the responses and move on.

      Have a nice day!

Free will means a person has a right to mention God.

Get over it and do something nice.

There are two people on here who disagree with you and in your mind you are fighting the devil?  I'm not sure how I feel about this - part of me is insulted that you would want to classify me as a minion of the devil, the other half wants to laugh at the silliness.
