Its quiet unlikely we would ever meet one another but out of " respect" would you say " Good People- l won, thanks for the memories - or would you be William the Silent?" Saying Nuttin.!!

I'd say good-bye on my way out the door to setup a million dollar joint account for all my relatives to take from only what they need. <giggle>

More likely anyone admitting to winning big would be hounded outahere.

"Stones" would have absolutely nothing to do with it.

Most here agree that any jackpot winner is going to be hounded mercilessly, to invite another 142,000+ people to do so (save the very few here who wouldn't) would be insanity.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

          Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

              Yup.

The last thing a JP winner want to do is to invite more harrassment and attention. I would never shout on the internet that I won so and so money. Who knows...maybe there are JP winners lurking unknown to us....

oh ridge... I'm laughing over here... I had to go back and check the spelling 3 times as I was using my dictionary (I love books)... cuz I kept forgetting how to spell it.

(googling would have been SO much quicker - but SO much less satisfying!)

I'd honestly think about it. It almost feels like I have the "responsibility" to share the hope if I were to win say 15million+ hard cash (no annuity/tax BS).

BUT I'd have to make absolute certain of my anonymity first. Maybe change my name before claiming then change it back afterwards, move, then wait a few

months after the excitement dies down, then I might try to reveal myself here. The hard part is proving that I did win "some" lottery without giving too much

evidence into which lottery/which draw and who I am/where I live.

I'll try it, but definitely as always, safety/privacy first.

Since I'm from Canada, and live in Canada, I can't buy into the extremely big jackpots like PB,MM and EuroMillions. Also, Canadian lotteries require you to

reveal your name and a picture, so I don't really play it. So if I were to play/win, it'd probably be Australian lottos. I'm not sure of this site's TOS so to be safe

I won't put any links, but there's a site where you can legally purchase Australian lottery tickets online even if you don't live in Australian and is not a citizen.

And from my research, Australian lottos also allows anonymous claiming AND there are no taxes/annuity BS. So winning the Oz lotto or Powerball would be

awesome, since you'd be pretty darn safe if you live in north america but won a lottery on the other side of the Earth. The bad thing is Australian lotteries

grow really slowly and only 1 draw per week.

Yo CT, thanks, I count myself among the very few, I'm sure you are there also,

as are Ridge, Sully16, Piaceri, Astekblue, and many of the regulars,

sorry if I did'nt mention anyone by name.

Coin toss, maybe you could make a poll on this ?

Well you're still paying a huge chunk of taxes if you take the lump sum. And every year afterwards if you do any investing in the form of capital gains taxes and all that.

Name change will be a huge hassle, at least here in the USA, and you have to go through the courts and then you have to change all your driver's license then back...too much. I did read that you can setup an corporation in your name and then have a representative of the corporation claim the prize for you, and that's one way to remain anonymous....well not totally because the corporation would be public record but at least it's not nearly as bad as them printing your name all over the media everywehre.

Good call on the belief. It will be very hard for you to prove that you actually won the JP. Which in one way is good.
