"Stones" would have absolutely nothing to do with it.

Most here agree that any jackpot winner is going to be hounded mercilessly, to invite another 142,000+ people to do so (save the very few here who wouldn't) would be insanity.

I had said in another thread that I would probably let y'all know, a couple of months after any dust settled ... thinking that nobody here knows who I am ... and thinking that it would give a little of encouragement to others that play.

But ... the more I think about it, maybe it would NOT be such a good idea.  Of the 142,000+ people here, maybe there are some computer hackers (and who knows who else) that could figure out who I am.  No telling what just one or a few of the "wrong" kind of people could be capable of.

I think I have to change my thinking on this to no ... probably not.

Name change is not as hard as you may think,

and can be done w/out a lawyer.

Hey ridge, can that slow down their slithering and undulating some ?

Ah dang, well I guess for me I'd like to avoid the beaureucratic name change system...as that seems may take forever. Setup a trust or incorporate yourself and then have someone else legally claim the prize in your trust/company seems like a way to go.

I can't hardly remember all the phone numbers I am associated with... if I were to change my name?  it would be a complete snafu... more than 1/2 of the time I would forget what the new name was...  and I can't change 'grandma' or 'mom' or 'auntie'... so what would be the point?

Yea, I had to look it up also,

should have heard it at least once from one of my many bosses over the years,

was'nt exactly an on time person in my earlier years.

I guess they did'nt have any bigger vocabulary than me.

Its quiet unlikely we would ever meet one another but out of " respect" would you say " Good People- l won, thanks for the memories - or would you be William the Silent?" Saying Nuttin.!!

Do you mean yes you say something or yes you not tell anyone? What?

If that's your concern, I can assure you that no matter how good a hacker they are, they can't figure out who you are just because you posted on some forum

lol. If you're that worried, you can just make a new account and only use it in public computers like a library or something... even if they track down the MAC

address (I'm not even sure if that's possible) they'll just know that you posted in the library.

But do you guys worry at all if one of the employees take a picture of you or leak some info to the media or something? Since when you claim, you're bound

to talk to many people to verify your claim and stuff, one of them might take a picture of you or something just because you're a big winner. Or reveal your

                name or something.

When there's even the hint of money somewhere in the ether, the undulating starts and soon the slithering and writhing in orgasmic splendor at the very thought of stealing it somehow and saying it was "expenses and miscellaneous".

If it's a large jackpot, the whole country is going to want to know who won... What's another 142,000?

Which raises another question. Do you tell everyone to get it out of the way and move on?  Or do you wait a few weeks or

months to cash the ticket, hoping to stay under the radar, letting the hoopla die down?  However, if you wait till the last day

to cash in there will most likely be publicity about the ticket still being out there unclaimed. Me, I wait. So which do you do?

If an LP'er wins I say good for you  Cheers  and that's it. I move on. I leave you alone.
