I read some article that someone said a perfect bracket would happen once every 400 years.

The 2012 NCAA women's BB tourney had the four number 1 seeds beating the four number 2 seeds making an all number 1 seed Final Four and the overall number 1 seed won the tourney. Lots of brackets had the winners of those 31 games, but the odds against picking all the other 32 games were still 4,294,967,296 to 1 and nobody had a perfect bracket.

There is a lock in the Midwest region where the 8 seed plays the 9 seed; the Wildcats are a lock to win.

The Wildcats are also a lock to win the 1. vs 16. matchup in the West Region.

Too bad there was not a sixth Wildcat in the tourney as the commitee had to settle for scheduling Villanova to play the Milwaukee Panthers (closest thing they could find to the Wildcats) instead as the 2. vs. 15. matchup in the East Region.

I did not know Weber State are Wildcats too, but then I never heard of the Wofford College either. Bet we'll never see a Chanticleers v Chanticleers match-up.

Finished my bracket. My final four picks are Florida, Kentucky, Villanova and Wisconsin.

At the least, 87% of all the brackets were busted early today when Ohio State got beat by a point. It's possible with 12 seed Harvard winning and with and number of upsets in the making, there might be zero perfect after the first day.

Yeah, I was watching that game. What a finish! There goes my bracket... Frown

Oh well, nobody was going to win the billion anyway.

Now I'm just playing for most points for one of the 20 $100,000 first prizes along with everyone else:

            RoundPoints
Second Round (Round of 64):1 Point for each correct prediction
Third Round (Round of 32):2 Points for each correct prediction
Fourth Round (Round of 16):4 Points for each correct prediction
Fifth Round (Round of 8):8 Points for each correct prediction
Sixth Round (Semi-Final):16 Points for each correct prediction
National Championship (Final):32 Points for each correct prediction

I just checked my brackets and it says "Correct Picks 5/8." I don't think I am still in contention for that $1,000,000,000 prize. Good luck everybody playing.

If the chances of winning the jackpot are so slim, why play when the jackpot is so small? Your chances never change, but the potential payoff does.
If a crystal ball showed you the future of the rest of your life, and in that future you will never win a jackpot, would you still play?

No, I got that and the Ohio state pick wrong. I did have a few nice upsets like Harvard winning. I have 14 out of 16 points.

Same here. As soon as OT started, Oklahoma dragged their heels and I knew it probably wasn't going to end well. Funny because I originally had NDSU winning, but changed it a couple of days ago for whatever reason Crazy

I have 14 of 16 and according to the leaderboards that's in the top 40,000. I've heard that there are less than 9 million entries in the contest and some estimates put the number of perfect brackets remaining around 10,000. I've seen at least one still in play which was posted last Sunday.

Add Duke to the list of upsets.

My latest score is 11/17 correct picks. It seems I improved from 5/8 correct picks last night.

It's looks like I'll be 19/24 going into the last 8 first round games. I had TN beating Duke so the upset won't be as bad if TN beats Belmont. There are only 16 perfect brackets after the first 24 games.

Down to 1 perfect bracket through 27 games.
