I Agree! and with no details of how many players or how much it will cost each player, the obvious choice is QPs.

Stack47

There are 12 members playing in the pool and each member contributes $10.00 for Wed. and $10.00 for Sat. game. So, $20.00 a week per person.

    Choose your own random numbers.

    Random.org

    Quick Picks

Fill out payslips for 2 different sets of 120, and play them every week.

Fact: More people have won Powerball jackpots with Quick-Picks than any other method.

More jackpot winners are QP's, why because majority of tickets purchased are QP's.

We have a pool at work and usually we do the QP'S, I just go to different places to buy them. It seems the best way to go.

Mail For YouOk...So we're starting a Powerball Pool in my office, and we are debating on what method to use. Should we just pick our own numbers and play them every week or just allow the computer to pick the numbers for us? Your thoughts on this subject would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You have the same chances of winning with Quick Picks and Self Picks.

Your lottery pool is spending $12,480 yearly on the lottery. You do not need to play the lottery to be rich.

That amount will seem like "chump-change", if they ever win the jackpot.

I ran an office pool once, never again. I'm in one but I'll never run one again.

I know where you are coming from because I've been running and office pool for several years. It is a lot of work to keep track of everything.

In my pool, we play Powerball, MegaMillions, and Louisiana Lotto.  We've also played our state's Millionaire Raffle game when it was running. No big wins yet, but we  keep trying.

The numbers we play are a mix of quickpicks and numbers we all selected. We pay in every 2 weeks on payday, and I buy multidraw tickets that cover the next 4 drawings of all the games. This means fewer trips to the store. I also scan and email a copy of the tickets to all of the members, so they know what our numbers are. Winnings of smaller prizes get rolled back in for more tickets, of if we do win a prize of say $50 or more, I put it to a vote how we'll handle it.

My only concern about winning the big one is everyone may not want to be anonymous, they'll want the press conference, etc. If I win, I want to keep a low profile so nobody will ask me for money. I'll worry about that if we win.

Your pool sounds more like a group wanting to multiply their chances of winning, but some pools are created because somebody is very lucky and other people want to cash in on their luck. With the former type of pool it doesn't matter, but in latter, I'd defer to the lucky one's opinion.

•Good point, allow the designated number picker to pick half. QP the other half.

I think picking my own numbers. I did a test, and compaired picking QP's and using my own numbers- and figuring my own numbers is a lot better. Hyper

Both! I try to play one self-pick and one quick-pick per draw.
