Where does it state she's still living in a trailer
There you go. Good question! I didn't see that anywhere in that article. It says she got busted in a house , but we don't know if the house is hers. And we certainly don't know yet what she has done with her money yet.

Why is it always way too easy for losers like this to win?
I play HARD, play trends, work hard, never been arrested, not into drugs and I can't win Jack sh*t! It isn't fair for real!
Oh well, when she blows all her jackpot on drugs and bail money, she'll just win another jackpot because it's way too easy for her to win. But instead of screwing us all out of another jackpot maybe she'll end up in prison where she can't buy tickets, or will just overdose and off herself.

A few months ago a mother of four won one of the biggest jackpots in powerball history , has be arrested for drugs and is still living in a trailer with roommates . What a waste !
I don't see the trailer, I did see home. Holmes , would have been arrested any way. Just because it was in her home. In a drug bust, when drugs & drug paraphernalia is found if it found on a counter, table....etc. and no one own up to it being their. Then all adults present are charge with possession of drugs...etc. It don't matter if you actually had anything to do with it or not. That the law. Unless someone stand up and say, she didn't have a thing to do with it. She get charge like the rest;

Just an observation:
Many Professionals do Pot, she was not nailed with Cocaine. It's only a story because she won the Lottery and it's quite possible that she has invested the bulk of her money.She may have had this BF before she won & you don't dump someone you love simply because you now have money. Her choices may be poor at present but let's not cast stones at this woman. Perhaps she will make changes moving forward.

Well JJ, it's pretty simple. Life is not meant to be fair and there are very few guarantees. Unfortunately being a good citizen of the USA doesn't give us the luxury of a jackpot win, just the opportunity to try and win.
This Powerball winner probably hasn't blown all of her money, but living in her current situation and associating with the people she does, will probably start to erode the interest she earned this year(provided she invested properly)
She took the $127 million cash,minus state and federal taxes, should leave her around $70 Million roughly+/-.
If she invested $67 million at 3% that would net her $2 million for a year(minus fed & state taxes again). BUUUUUUT she's only had the money for just over 4 months which is 1/3rd of a year or about $670,000. If she's posting bonds for her associates and herself, paying lawyers fees,possible court costs, it sure wont take long to eat into this years profits.
We can not fix stupid decisions that people make, what we can do is learn from them.
I think of all the good things I could do for others with that kind of money/interested earned and say, "God, what a waste".
Then I believe most of us on here would also say the same thing.
While I have been educated on a few things from our fellow posters, what I have learned is "WHAT NOT TO DO" from from folks like her. For that I truly am a winner !!!
There are good winners who share and do the right investments with their finances, keep the family grounded and help in their community. Those are the folks I chose to emulate when I win a big jackpot in the future.
