In the context of the lottery - definitely lucky. In other elements in life I'd prefer to be skillful

Perhaps some luck can be attributed to having the skill to know when and where to buy your tickets...

With scratch-offs it's all about luck in part because there may not be a jackpot winning scratch ticket in your entire city without it.  When you select your own numbers you make your own luck, though rounding out a playslip with a couple of Quick Picks opens the door for luck to enter the picture.

My stance is 80% skill & 20% luck for what it is worth. I truly believe combinations is the only way to go.....................

From my point of view skill & luck go together hand in hand. To me , Skill is a "GOD" given talent. It is the ability to approach a issue the correct way to get the best results this is 90%. I see luck, as chance & as golden opportunities knocking at the doorways of live. When you open the door to him, it is a means. Away for him to shower you with blessings of all kind in your life. This is what luck appear to be, give it 10%. Lucky enough to hear the knock & answer the door, to let him in.....

Best answer in the thread right here, in my opinion! The first two sentences are priceless. You cannot depend on luck while skill is always there. When skill does have to fall just a bit short, luck's job isn't so tough from that 90%!!!

There's an old saying: "If it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all."

Obviously good luck is best, but is no luck better than bad luck? Or vice versa?

Hypothetically, you hit 5 of 6 in the MM, or PB.

Is that no luck or bad luck, that you did not hit 6 of 6?

Or good luck that you got 5 of 6?

Now in the Pick 3 or Pick 4, skill rules.

"You can observe a lot just by watching." Yogi Berra, Hall of Fame baseball player.

The numbers will tell you what numbers to play. Pay attention to the numbers.

Don't just think outside the box, crush it.

In Canada, I play keno lottery. I had 4 out of 7 numbers, last night, I didn't win anything. It is a daily battle; to see if I win or not.

Do i get discouraged- yes- but i don't want to give up!
