New York won the mega millions jackpot Friday night.  This is the exact reason why people quit playing, the same places getting the win.  Very few want to admit it though.  How many states are in current 3 plus year dry spells ( no jackpot wins )?

Considering new york is on their 3rd win this year, it is a big slap to lottery players in others states that haven't had a jackpot win in years.  This is why people quit playing.

You are absolutely correct as to why people are giving up or not playing the lottery.  The same places are still winning the jackpots.  This is getting BORING! And a waste of money.  Let me search for the tax office for Ca., Florida, New York, Texas and other same winning states and just send them my money.

So, what state will win the powerball tonight?  Ca., New York, Florida, Ga., Texas or another same winning State.

Great, New York wins just as my multi-draw NY ticket doesn't cover any more dates/ran out.  Poke

So, you live in Germany and play NY. lottery?  Any reason why you play NY lottery and not another state?

I bought my ticket while on vacation in NY.

Would have preferred to buy in Delaware for anonymity's sake but didn't leave NY state, not enough time.

(Actually I also bought one in New Jersey I think)

OP...how much happier would you be if your state won? Doesn't mean you would win if

someone in your state won. Keep it in terms of people playing instead of states winning. The

more people a state has, the more tickets they sell most likely. Do you have a hate/hate

relationship going? You hate any other state to win and you hate when your state doesn't win

when you have a ticket for a draw...or doesn't that bother you?

Do you also hate that you bought a ticket after the draw?

Doesn't your state have their own, smaller jp game?

Wait, with your luck, someone from out of state would win everytime you played.

I have to be honest with myself, I'm complaining for years and years of playing the lottery and you get nothing.  But, you have to watch the same places win over and over again.

The point is seeing the same places win over and over, it's that simple.
