Stack,

Interesting that you went from 'lots of winner's to 'some players'.

I still want you to tell me the bets that players make that they are supposed to win.

Casinos took out the game of Faro because the last hand of the game was an even money bet. As a side note back in the days of Faro a lot of people were illiterate so a banner with a tiger on it let people know where the Faro game was - going up against the house was known as 'bucking the tiger'.

You're the one with the comprehension problem. Apparently you live to nit pick other people's posts and try to prove your erroneous opinions right, all the while demanding evidence that the opposite of your opinion is wrong.

Right, I worked in casinos and don't comprehend how it's possible some people win. You need a reality check.

I know you'll have to have the last word but I won't see it.

By the way, your opinions and theories stink.

Bye Bye.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

I wouldn't go that far, but still waiting for any information of value from them.

Other pertinent words are "dubious" and " condescending" and "trifling".

But one day I am going to understand how a team of MIT students, that played in vegas with a system and won, relates to the lottery.

Nope - hopeful.  Each loss gets me one draw closer to my next win.

here's some math for you to work out. what is  your chance if you buy zero tickets? then multiply that chance by  1000 draws. and what is mine buying 1 ticket ea. draw? compare the 2 results. who's the fool now?

and i wont go into the insanity of people who dont buy tickets getting angry when they see other people win on a game of chance.

not that im saying you dont buy tickets, who knows what you buy. nor am i calling you a fool.  just a general complaint about people who dont buy tickets  dissing my game.

          Bye Bye.

"Interesting that you went from 'lots of winner's to 'some players'. "

Only because I thought you understood the fact when a game pays off 50% of the wagers in prizes, players share 50% of the prizes. The PA pick-3 game had $310 million in wagers in the last fiscal year meaning they paid out about $155 million in prizes. And the last time I looked $155 million is lots of winners.

Lotteries don't report how many players win, but because I know there are 11 LP predictors that show a life time PA pick-3 profit, SOME players do win.

"I still want you to tell me the bets that players make that they are supposed to win. "

You're still trying to pretend you never said "You're not supposed to win. " when it's a fact lotteries keep (and payout) 50% of all pick-3 and pick-4 wagers. Just the fact 6.8& of MM tickets win something proves the opposite of what you're saying.

"Casinos took out the game of Faro because the last hand of the game was an even money bet.

How does that prove "You're not suppose to win"?

"Right, I worked in casinos and don't comprehend how it's possible some people win. "

You keep saying you worked in a casino as if it proves you're an gaming expert, but apparently can't even grasp because of the payoff structures, some players are suppose to win.

"By the way, your opinions and theories stink. "

It's not opinion but fact when a pick-3 game pays out at $500 to $1, overtime a lottery can expect to keep (and payout) 50% of all wagers. As often as you posted that 70% to 80% QP thing, you should have figured out the math behind it by now.

A few years ago, I bought several gaming books at a yard sale and it's amazing how many of those same stories I see posted on LP. I never heard the Faro story before, but maybe that's because there is probably nobody alive that played casino Faro.

Lotteries made certain game changes to close loop holes in their games and if there is something relative about the MIT students and the lottery, it the changes the casinos made trying to prevent card counting. I'm still trying to figure out why being a former Craps dealer makes anyone a lottery expert.

let's see... zero tickets... hummm... that would be 0 then multiply that by 1000 draws.  Soooo,  0 X 1000 = 1000 zeros.  So the value of 1000 zeros is the same as the value of one zero.  If I eliminate all the extra digits, and if my math is right, that would leave just one zero for a total of, ummm, 0.  Yes, I believe it is,  the answer to the first part is:   0

Someone else is going to have to figure out that second part dealing with 1 ticket.  Oh, and then that comparison analysis...   geesh, math sure is something else.

Our gambling expert Stack strikes again. Palace Station in Vegas had Faro into the 1980s. So much for your 'no one alive' theory. Just because you didn't do something or know something it doesn't apply to every body. This is just another example of how easy it is to prove you wrong.

If they took out a game because of an even money bet do you think they'd keep games where the house is supposed to lose?

Stack if you knew 1/10th of what you think you know you'd still be no threat.

I'm not saying you didn't work in a casino, but most casino gamblers don't consider Porters as gambling experts. Oh and your prediction statistics pretty much sums up your lottery knowledge.

"Fook you and your fookin' yard sale books."

Classic low brow response from someone not knowing the difference between buying the same books at a yard sale or a book store. Does where I bought several gambling books change the fact the books include the same stories you pass off as personal knowledge?

FYI, Faro was played in a few downtown casinos until the early 60s (50 years ago) and the last known Vegas Faro table was at the Bingo Palace until 1978 or 1979. You forgot to mention the table was only open on weekend evenings.

I don't know and don't care what your job was "back in the day", but the stories you tell and the similar stories gaming book authors told were also witnessed by people having other casino jobs including porters.

It's not an insult to say casino porters saw and heard the same things on casino floors as any other employee. You said "You're not supposed to win. The lotteries know this all too well but evidently a lot of players don't.", but it's a fact state lotteries paid out $billions to prize winners. (Speaking of being proved wrong)

Had you known many of the "how to play" casino gaming books included the same stories you told and somebody on LP read them, would you still pretend you were an eyewitness?

                            Stack:
I never heard the Faro story before, but maybe that's because there is probably nobody alive that played casino Faro.

                            and in his next post:Stack:
"FYI, Faro was played in a few downtown casinos until the early 60s (50 years ago) and the last known Vegas Faro table was at the Bingo Palace until 1978 or 1979. "

So you go from saying you never heard a Faro story, no one alive played casino Faro, to FYI Faro was played.....

Since you now know so much about Faro how many cheques did a $200 buy in get you at the Bingo Psalace Faro game? (Chips are only used on roulette and have no value off the game, cheques are used on other games.)

You are a sick egomaniacal individual.

Your not just a joke Stack, you're a pathetic one. You get off on insulting people while you're the one living in your own erroneous little world.

As far as casino work and lotteries gambling is gambling, the house is the house.

Take your opinions, take a hike, and go bother somebody else.

Which part of "probably nobody alive played casino Faro" is confusing you when it also means there are probably one or two people alive that did play casino Faro?

FYI to the few LP members that might be interested in CT's off topic Faro history, Craps replaced Faro as the popular casino game after 1945.

"Your not just a joke Stack, you're a pathetic one. You get off on insulting people while you're the one living in your own erroneous little world. "

The real insult is you pretending you're a lottery expert because you "worked in a casino".

"As far as casino work and lotteries gambling is gambling, the house is the house."

Over 30 years ago a casino "house" became boards of directors of publicly traded companies and a lottery "house" is the state legislators. Just the fact the Illinois Lottery doesn't pay prizes over $25,000 proves who runs the lottery show in Illinois. Or are you trying to say a board of directors is the same as a state legislation?

"Take your opinions, take a hike, and go bother somebody else. "

It's obvious why you're bothered when somebody points out your usual erroneous remarks. All your Vegas casino stuff, true or false has nothing to do with you saying "You're not suppose to win. The lotteries know this all too well but evidently a lot of players don't. "

So again I'll ask "Do you have any actual examples to support your opinion?"

Tell you what Stack, you tell me and everyone else here the lottery bet you can make that you're supposed to win.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.
