The permutations filter is a good filter.

I like the last digit of the sum.

----------

The best filter is digits, but only if a person is able to predict digits.

A long time ago I "saw" that I could not know what might come out next, but that sometimes I might be able to guess what might NOT come out next.

I call that "Prediction by filtration" and also the "Negative prediction technique".

For example, if we have 10 digits, it might be easier to predict 1 digit out of the 10 digits, that will NOT come out next, than 1 digit out of the 10 digits that will come out next.

More or less that is the basis of "Prediction by filtration"

Of course, in most cases, for that to work, you need more than 1 filter.

Probably, most people here already knew that, so that was for the few who didn't yet know.

------------

Of the 2 ways, predicting what will come out next is best if you can do that.

I myself could not, that is why I had to try the other way.

---------------------------------

Next filter will be what they call the Root of the Sum.

Sometime today Saturday.

--------------

Filtration of the Roots works in about the same way as filtration for the last digit of the sums as maybe we will see later.

The Root of the Sum filter.

For example:

4-6-5 = 15 Sum

1+5 = 6 Root

------------

Every-time that you filter out 1 or more Roots you filter out some lottery numbers.

It works for any-order box and also for straight lottery numbers.

The more Roots that you filter out, the more lottery numbers that you filter out.

You don't want to make "Filters Failures", so try to make as few of them as possible.

Perhaps don't use by itself, but try to use it together with some other filtration(s) method(s) and or prediction method(s).

You can either try to predict Root(s) or to filter it or them out.
--------------
--------------
These is done by hand, so there might be mistakes made somewhere.

Example:

Mar 03 2016    9-4-5 9
Mar 02 2016    0-4-2 6  8 to 6 = 2, so filter out 6, 8 and 4 Roots for the next draw.
Mar 01 2016    5-7-5 8  First past draw.

Like this there will be many filters failures, but more filtration.

-----------------
39 Past draws.
Played 35 draws.
Failed on 6 draws.
Filtration was from 2 to 3 Roots each draw played, not great.

That is a few too many failures, but could have been worse.

Maybe there is a better filtration method than this one (?).

On the Roots, some Roots filter fewer lottery numbers than other Roots (I think).

I guess that this is it for this filter.

If you don't understand read and read again.

Maybe more, sometime later, some other filter (?).

I AM GONE, FOR A WHILE.

One more things about the Roots.

With a more or less detailed study of the Roots maybe more than 3 Roots at a time could be filtered out from the 10 Roots without way too many filters failures.

No way too know 'till a person tries.

Filters systems or methods must be made for a particular game and at a particular time if a person wants better results.

The same would be for each of the filters, might take more study and time to get better results.

But also, each of us has particular limits and there is only so much that each of us can do.

Well I thought about it and this is it, there are no other filters for me to "talk" about.

So I guess that this thread is finished.

As you can see, you don't always need a very long list of past winning numbers in order to filter out lottery numbers from a source pool, it all depends on the particular filter technique that you want to use.

I showed 1 way, but there are other ways.

Another strategy you can consider with root sums is to track the the last draws out that a rootsum has occurred.

I will use the Florida Combined 3 to illustrate:

Florida Pick3 Combined

In the picture I have highlighted the column RootSum Draws Out.

There are two header columns Median and Mean.  These values were calculated over the last 400 draws.

The Median value of 6 means the following:

Approximately 200 of the last 400 drawings had a RootSum Draws Out value of 0 thru 6.
Approximately 200 of the last 400 drawings had a RootSum Draws Out value of 7 or greater.

The mean value of 8.02 means if I added up all the RootSum Draws Out values over the last 400 draws and divided by 400 this is the value.

The Median value is interesting because it is another form of a 50/50 filter.

You will find the data for other state Pick 3 games will have similar values as above.

So what is RootSum Draws Out?  Lets use an example:

The first row entry has draw 8-7-0 which has a root sum value of 8+7=15 = 1+5 = 6.  So it has a root sum value of 6.

The root sum draws out for this entry is 1.  This means that two draws ago that draw also had a root sum of 6.  Lets verify

The third row entry has draw 4-1-1 which has a root sum value of 4+1+1 =6.  So it has a root sum value of 6.

Each root sum represents 111 combinations with the exception of Root Sum 0 which has only 1 combination of 0-0-0

Lets take a look at draw 2 it had a root sum draws out value of 15.  What this means is that we could have eliminated the last 15 drawn root sum values.  That would be draws 3 thru 17.  The root sum values over those 15 draws were 6, 6, 3, 3, 7, 6, 7, 5, 5, 1, 9, 8, 8, 7, 6.  So that would only leave root sums 2 and 4 or 222 combinations to choose from.  A high Root Sum Draws Out value is just a fancy way of saying the a cold root sum just hit.  A low Root Sum Draws Out value is just a fancy way of saying a hot root sum just hit.

From the above example we wouldn't necessarily know before the draw that a cold root sum value was going to hit.

One strategy is to count how many consecutive draws that a Root Sum Draws Out value hits below or above the Median or Mean line and once it gets out of whack bet on the other to occur.

You can use the same strategy using ShortSum draws out.

From my tracking if you have not seen a Root Sum Draws Out of 10 or greater in the last 5 draws then expect one to occur shortly.

You can also track the other way if you expect a Root Sum Draws Out of say 0 thru 2 then you would use the last 3 drawn root sum values or 333 combinations.

Anyway this is just another way to look at root sums in a more dynamic fashion.

Another way is to run a randomize trials on your RootSums, each rootsum will  advance/propel the next range of RS. You can then used lead digits to filter your picks(straight bet obviously).

Take draw 251, rs 8> next range of rs 9,6,3. Now try to locate the next range of LEAD digits 7,5, 4.

From RS chart, I can sieve out the 7,5, 4 from my rs 9,6,3.

Your contributions in regards to filtering is not to be taken lightly and is gratefully appreciated. I wish you much success in all of your lottery endeavors. And may you always hit 'em STRAIGHT !

Thanks very much!

And also thanks to everybody else.

There are many possible ways of getting the numbers and or filtering numbers, but I always went for the easier or lazy way.

I don't like to keep databases of past winning numbers, nor to update databases, those things are of course needed for many kinds of filtering and also of lottery prediction.

Most of the time I tried to make do with only the last 10 past winning numbers and of those I mostly used the last 1 to 4 past winning numbers.

But at the very beginning I had to study the last 20 to 30 past draws of a game more or less and from then on henceforth I would only use the last 2 to 4  past draws.

------

So, as I said, at the beginning, I wanted to see how patterns moved about on or for a particular game and time and from then on in the more or less near future I would only keep on using the last 2 to 4 past winning numbers in order to do the needed filtration(s).

That was what I did back on the old days when I made and posted some pick 3 predictions here at the Lottery Post.

Of course, people with statistical software, long databases and special software might or should do better than I ever did.

I used only 2 things, a filters software such as the "LotSoft FreeWheeler" (Not the LotSoft Pro software) and the last few past draws, I made the patterns by hand on those few past draws, just as I made all the patterns that you saw on all of my posts here on this thread by hand, no software made them, the only software that I used was a pick 3 filters software, such as the "LotSoft FreeWheeler" or "The Crunch" by Mike K, but it is not free or you can use the:

"Deflate 3 - Pick 3 Number Reduction System"

https://www.lotterypost.com/deflate3.asp

Or you can use the "Number Combination Slasher 3", but it is not free.

I myself am limited to only 20 free uses of the Deflate3 by Todd, but that might be just enough to give people a quick idea on how to use it.

And my next thread will be on how to use it, I might not be able to give full instructions on how to use it, because 20 uses might or should not be enough for that, but you get what you can get and no more.

So I will start that new thread soon sometime.

It will be called:

"Deflate 3 - Pick 3 Number Reduction System"

I AM GONE, FOR A WHILE.
