(1) I don't put GOD in a corner or the backburner as you put it because he's always in my heart and on my mind so he's where ever I go.Just because I don't speak of him PUBLICLY and OUTSPOKENLY like you doesn't mean I don't give him TOP BILLING.
(2) I know what you speak of about Astrology and Numerology from the Bible but did you know that the Three Wise Men were "Astrologers"? the same 3 wise men that came to see Christ? anyway have a BLESSED day VISIONDUDE.
(1) i have a clarification to make. in my conversations with you, i have been moving in and out of referencing "to" you. somethings i am saying directly to you and other times i am using my conversation "with" you to make a point without making the differentiation that i am. so forgive me for sounding accusatory toward you. i realize we are at different levels and i never take that to mean that i am better or worse than anyone else although it may come off that way because i am not afraid to say that i "know" him.
it's not where one is as much as you "are" in the first place, and i do recognize that you "are". God hands out the measure of the knowledge of him in order to match the tasks in life that he has planned. to say that one is "closer" to God just because they might possess more "knowledge" of him is a false positive. heck i know atheists that have more "head knowledge" of God then alot of believers (but their hearts are cold). amounts of knowledge makes a terrible barometer. it's what one does with what they know....that counts.
i saw you adjust to a truth of God and that tells me alot. from now on i will try and make the differentiation between when i am talking to you directly, and making a point within the framework of our conversation. it may sound abrupt but i can assure you i live to motivate people TOWARD God, not away from him. i do believe in telling the straight up truths about God as that is the most efficient way of getting to a destination.
(2) if the three men were astrologers, you can throw your copy of the bible away and live however you want. it would be a direct contradiction if the text inferred that they were (which it doesn't), seeing how God has warned against going to created "things" as a means for answers and future dvents. that would be idolatry. consulting what God made, instead of God. God alone deserves that recognition and is fully capable of telling you himself, effectively cutting out the "middle man" (lol).
the "star" that guided the wise men to thier destination was not only orchaestrated by God, but prophesied hundreds of years before Christ was ever born. that God would put into position the eastern star so that he could say to all mankind that he alone puts a stamp of approval on whatever he does. it was a means to an end...THAT DAY. there is nothing anywhere that supports the wisemen consulting the stars and their patterns in how they arrived in thier decision making.
think astronomy.......not astrology and you would have it right.
i do like the other part of this story prophesied approx 700 years before Christ. God thru the prophet micah nailed down the exact location that the messiah would be born (bethlehem ephratah)and where that eastern star would hang over his head solidifying who he was. God places the solar system in the exact position it needs to be at the perfect time after saying he would 700 years previously. pretty cool stuff, but not surprising considering "who" did it.
this is a lottery forum full of mathemtical minds. i wonder what the "odds" are of that happening?
