  Best to play if probable payoff is $50 or more.

  I had one, the 24..paid..$33.40

  Brdman, just checked the first 3 races today at Haw....you almost had the first race tri. but the #1 didn't come in for you.

  You probably know these judging by your picks but for any newbies, program #'s in hot to cold right now are

  3, 1, 2, 6, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 9, 11, 12.

  My favorite exacta today was 3-1 and it hit in the 3rd for 41.00.  Still don't know the best way to play these....wish I had more time to analyze it....hopefully by the Arlington meet we'll have a better sense of it all.

  These bigger fields are throwing a curve ball into things....2nd race exacta was 8-11....???

  Brdman,congrats on the 5th race tri. and ex......just got done watching a Cub's grand slam homer, so it's a good day in Chi-Town.

  Gotta get back to work to make some money for the "Voluntary IL Education Contribution" that Chipp ascribes to.

  I had one ex yesterday for $7.20...and one tri for $41.00...lol

   

  here's today ex...456...tri...1/245

   

  Outside was strong yesterday....never stays that way..

  Well Brdman, we had the same luck on Mon.  I had that same 7.20 ex. (lol) and a 41.00 ex.

  Didn't do too much better yesterday with a 49.80 and 12.00 ex.

  Exacta picks for Fri. (all races) in order of preference are

  2-5, 6-1, 4-3, 5-4, 3-1, 3-5, 1-4, 5-1

  Rick, I think you only follow Hawthorne but I wanted to come on and tell you this.

  Remember I told you to watch WALL STREET AFLEET in the 3 year old maiden class..............she took 1st today in the 3rd race at Keenland.

  I also told you to keep tabs on PINK CHAMPAGNE......my son's other horse.....watch out.........she will be on TVG racing at Keenland in Race 5 for 2 year old fillys.....................she is an awesome horse.

  I plan on going to the stables to visit WALL STREET AFLEET.....her home stable is in Illinois near Aurora where my son lives.  I think it is gonna make him some money.  Pink Champagne made like $150,000 in her first 3 races so I think my son's hobby is paying off.  I don't know what the purse was for Wall Street today but my son bought her for a song so she should pay off well also.

  Good luck at Hawthorne...........(my son got me one of those golf shirts with Hawthorne written on the left chest.......it's green...I wear it all the time)......

  Sandy, very cool, and congrats to Wall Street Afleet and your son for breaking her maiden...sounds like he's getting good at his hobby.  I used to follow all the tracks in the Midwest edition of the DRF, but got into the pick-3 because of the convenience of betting.

  Question...when is Pink Champagne racing in the 5th at Keeneland (TVG???)  Today?  I won't have time to get to the OTB for that one.  Let me know so I can place a bet if possible.

  I'm close to Aurora and in fact used to go to Fox Valley Downs all the time and wouldn't be surprised if he's training them there.

  Tell your son to quit shipping them to Keeneland...Hawthorne's a lot closer...lol

  Anyhow good luck to you and your son...maybe we'll see Pink Champagne in some future stakes races.  Off to a good start.

  PS....I have a Sportsman's Park polo shirt that I won in a weekly handicapping contest at that track a few years ago and it's one of my favs.!

  She is racing in the 5th race at 3:15 I believe on Thursday at Keenland.  It will be on the TVG channel (the racing channel). My son told me to allow 10 minutes either way so I don't miss my taping it.  Those horses are like my grandbabies.  I tape everything I can. My husband had surgery today so I know my son will call me today.  I will have to ask where Wall Street's stable is.  I know her trainer is Rebecca Maker (spelling).....

  Don't bet if it's wet.  Pink Champagne does not do well in the mud.....on dry dirt she is awesome but her bad losses were on mud...........I will also ask him who the jockey is going to be.  Pardo races her if he doesn't have another committment.

  Okay, Mr. Rick.........I got the scoop on the 5th race at 3:15 Michigan time...I think that is 2:15 Illinois time.........Race 5 at Keenland.....TVG racing channel.

  Pink Champagne is the favored to win.  Pat Day will be the jockey riding her.

  The only other really competitive horse is Franko's horse ridden by Jerry Bailey....so Pink Champagne SHOULD FINISH 1ST OR 2ND.

  This is a good race to guess the trifecta on as Jerry Bailey's horse (I don't know the name), and Pink Champagne should finish 1 and 2.........but you never know if a longshot will come in.  Like I said, Pink may scratch if it is muddy, but my son said they really wanted to race her because there are only 7 horses in the field and the purse is 60 grand so they may race her anyway just to see how she does.  So if she races and it's muddy, if you bet, don't bet a large bet......she is my baby - I have a picture of her on my fridge and I am so confident she is going to do just fine. 

  By the way, the stable for Wall Street Afleet is in Arlington when he is in Illinois.  I believe Jay told me that both of them are scheduled to race at Arlington in May so we shall see.

  Both Pink Champagne and Bobby Franco's horse scratched.  I forgot that Pink only races on turf.  With all the rain in Illinois, the turf was too soft.  She is too nice a horse to take a chance with.  Maybe next time.

  Too bad, you could have picked the exacta and probably got it right in that race.  Oh well, tomorrow's another day.

  Thanks for the info Sandy...She'll do great at Arlington.  They have a great turf course and it's a beautiful track.
