President Obama receives backing of retired 4-star General, secretary of state, and Republican Colin

With the fight for the White House in its final round, President Barack Obama's campaign released a new radio ad Wednesday highlighting former Secretary of State Colin Powell's full-throated endorsement of the incumbent's re-election.

The 60-second commercial will run in Florida, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Virginia, New Hampshire, Ohio, Iowa, Nevada and Colorado, according to the campaign. It samples heavily from Powell's arguments in a CBS interview last week for giving Obama another four years in the White House.

"He served America as a four-star general, as secretary of state. Here's Republican Colin Powell," the narrator intones at the beginning of the ad.

In the sampled bits of the interview, Powell highlights the economic crisis Obama inherited, his "stabilization" of the financial sector, and recent upbeat news from the housing sector and rising consumer confidence.

Powell also cites the president's withdrawal from Iraq (a policy he also essentially inherited), his planned pullout from Afghanistan and "very, very solid" actions to combat terrorism.

Obama leading Mitt Romney 52 percent to 35 percent among people aged 18 to 29 years old

A poll released Monday shows that President Obama has shed much of the star power that electrified college campuses in 2008.

The poll from the Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning & Engagement (CIRCLE) shows Obama leading Mitt Romney 52 percent to 35 percent among people aged 18 to 29 years old who are "extremely likely to vote." (Being "extremely likely to vote" was CIRCLE's likely voter screen.)

That's a much smaller margin than the 34-point gap that separated Obama from Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) among the age group four years ago. It's also a sharp dip in support: Obama claimed 66 percent of the age group in 2008. A poll from Pew Research Center on Monday showed Obama leading Romney among 18- to 29-year-olds by a comparable spread, 56 percent to 35 percent.

Peter Levine, director at CIRCLE, said Obama can overcome the decline but it could still be an ominous sign to his campaign.

"I think if you are an Obama supporter, you need to be a little concerned," Levine told TPM via email. "His comparatively weak position is already factored into national polls, so it's not a revelation of an unknown problem for the Democrats. But it puts a specific number on the problem. Obama is running about 14 points behind where he was in November 2008 among youth."

Levine said although Romney will likely outperform the 2008 GOP ticket of McCain and Sarah Palin, who drew the support of less than one-third of the age group in 2008, the former Massachusetts governor does not enjoy a strong standing among the young voting bloc. Romney ticked down almost two points since the summer, and CIRCLE's latest poll reveals fairly harsh attitudes among the youngest portion of the electorate toward the Republican nominee.

A large majority, nearly 60 percent, said that they are either disappointed or angry with Romney, compared with a mere 9 percent who said they admire him. And when it comes to understanding problems of people their age, standing up for their interests and improving the economy, respondents gave a sizable edge to Obama.

"Compared to McCain's benchmark, Romney is doing somewhat better," Levine wrote. "In a longer-term perspective, he is doing very poorly among youth, with just 35% support."

It's not all gloomy for the president, who's made gains among young voters over the course of this year's campaign. Obama made a 7-point leap among the voting bloc since CIRCLE's poll from June and July, which included nearly two-thirds of the same respondents as the latest survey.

Monday's poll also shows a growing number of 18- to 29-year-olds have the intention to vote, a critical trend to an Obama campaign that is holding out hope for a robust turnout among its core constituencies. Sixty-seven percent of young adults said they are either "very" or "extremely" likely to vote, a 7-point spike since CIRCLE's summer survey.

Mitt Romney exploited Illegal immigrants that did lawn care for him for years.

The former Massachusetts governor, in an Oct. 18, 2011, Republican presidential debate, faced accusations from primary foe Rick Perry that he hired illegal immigrants to work at his home.

The two had this tense exchange:

Perry: "Mitt, you lose all of your standing, from my perspective, because you hired illegals in your home and you knew about it for a year. And the idea that you stand here before us and talk about that you're strong on immigration is on its face the height of hypocrisy."

Moderator Anderson Cooper: "Gov. Romney?"

Romney: "Rick, I don't think I've ever hired an illegal in my life. And so I'm afraid -- I'm looking forward to finding your facts on that, because that just doesn't --"

Then they proceeded to talk over each other, but Romney's claim was virtually the same as one we've checked before.

The first time Romney was running for president, in 2006, the Boston Globe broke a story about his hired help.

The Globe said Romney, for an entire decade, used a landscaping company that relied on illegal Guatemalan immigrants. Employees at the company, Community Lawn Service with a Heart, said its owner hadn't asked them to provide documents showing their immigration status.

The workers said they were paid $9 to $10 an hour, in cash, for working sometimes 11 hours a day. He paid no taxes.

The newspaper sent a team of reporters to Guatemala after getting a tip that Romney had hired a landscaping company notorious for using illegal immigrants. They tracked down three former landscapers who claimed to have been in the United States illegally when they worked on Romney's lawn.

One of them, Rene Alvarez Rosales, said he worked for Romney eight years landscaping his lawn, occasionally getting a "buenos dias" from Romney himself. Others told the Globe of casual encounters with Romney over the years, during which he had never inquired about their status.

Romney’s first response to reporters’ questions about the matter: "Aw, geez."

Later, his campaign issued a statement that the governor knew nothing about the immigration status of the landscaping workers, and that his dealings were with owner of the company, a legal immigrant from Colombia. The owner told the Globe that Romney never asked him about the status of the workers.

When the Los Angeles Times followed up with another story, a Romney spokesman said, "Gov. Romney has no information or knowledge to corroborate the Globe's allegations. He hired a legitimate lawn service company and he knows the owner as a decent, hardworking person who is a legal resident."

When Romney said he "did not" have illegal immigrants working for him, we rated his statement Mostly False, given the credible evidence that undocumented lawn care laborers from Guatemala worked at his home for years, and his careful statements about his knowledge of their status.

In this case, his wording is slightly different, that he had not "ever hired an illegal in my life." It's clear from the Globe's reporting that he hired a landscaping company and that employed illegal immigrants. He has made the argument he hired the company, not the specific workers. Still, they were doing hired work on his property. We find his claim Mostly False. Romney the Mormon have a problem with telling the truth. And with all his millions, he rather pay his workers in cash so as to not have to pay taxes. He has the nerve to talk about the 47%...what a creep!

Romney's Seven Documented Lies On Air

Romney the Mormon is a habitual liar. He seems to have a lot of practice coming from the business world where he helped to destroy the hopes and dreams of thousands of Americans by closing and outsourcing their jobs. Below are seven lies that Romney told while on air at CNN. Also there are links to others lies that Romney told below.

ROMNEY’S SEVEN DOCUMENTED LIES ON AIR – CNN Jacksonville, FL in front of 5.36 million of viewers.

1. He denied accusing Newt of exaggerating/lying about his part in Reagan’s administration only three days before on Monday night in Tampa.

2. He lied about accusing Newt of saying Spanish was a ‘ghetto language’ in an ad that bore his voice.

3. He claimed all his business was run by a blind trust, a tactic that Mitt himself called ‘the oldest ruse in the book’ in a previous campaign.

4. He said he voted for republicans in the past when there was a republican to vote for, but if you look back at the Gingrich ad exposing his lies, it turns out when George H.w. Bush and Buchanan were running, he voted for a liberal democrat.

5. He denied the cost of Romneycare to taxpayers in Massachusetts. “Half of those people got insurance on their own. Others got help in buying the insurance.”

False. In fact, 98% of the additional people insured after Romneycare was passed have it paid for or subsidized by the federal government or Massachusetts government. Of the 412,000 additional people who had health insurance in 2010 who did not have it in June 2006 (pre-reform), only 7K of the 412K (1.7%) had unsubsidized health insurance. The rest were covered through Medicaid, Commonwealth Care, or a program of subsidized care for the unemployed.

6. He denied the impact of Romney care on citizens of Massachusetts. Romneycare has increased the price of healthcare premiums for every citizen of Massachusetts. Premiums have increased by 55 percent since Mitt Romney became Governor, a rate 13 points higher than the national average and the third highest growth rate among the states.

7. He said he lowered taxes in Massachusetts 19 times. Yet he raised fees and corporate taxes twice. No wonder Massachusetts was rated near the bottom (47-49th) in job and business growth.

Differences Between Mormonism And Christianity

1. Mormon scripture teaches that all the various Christian denominations, particularly the Presbyterians, Baptists, and Methodists, are all considered by Jesus Christ to be “wrong.  The Mormons believe that there are only two churches: the church of the Lamb of God, and the church of the devil. Everyone that does not belong to the church of the Lamb of God, belongs to the church of satan. (1 Nephi 14:10)

2. Mormon scripture, prophets and apostles teach that there is more than one god who created this world, that there are many gods who rule over other worlds, and that worthy Mormons may one day become gods themselves. Even though Mormons claim there is only one God for them, they still believe that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are separate gods who are only one in their purpose rather than in a personal being that they share eternally.

They believe that the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost--comprise the Godhead or trinity. But they also believe that there are an infinite number of holy personages, drawn from worlds without number, who have passed on to exaltation and are thus gods.

3. Mormon scripture, prophets and apostles teach that God the Father is an exalted man with flesh and bones.

In other words, God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens. If you were to see him today, you would see him like a man in form--like yourselves in all the person, image, and very form as a man. But Prophet Joseph Smith said that we have imagined and supposed that God was God from all eternity. I will refute that idea, and take away the veil, so that you may see.

4. Mormon prophets and apostles teach that God the Father has at least one wife by which we were all literally born from as spirit children prior to coming to this earth. Some of these prophets and Apostles have even taught that Jesus had wives and children. They believed that God the Father had a plurality of wives, one or more being in eternity, by whom He begat our spirits as well as the spirit of Jesus His First Born, and another being upon the earth by whom He begat the tabernacle of Jesus, as His Only Begotten in this world. The Son followed the example of his Father, and became the great Bridegroom to whom kings’ daughters and many honorable wives were to be married.

5. Mormon prophets and apostles teach that God the Father had a Father whom He followed as Jesus had followed Him. Prophet Joseph reasoned that if Jesus had a Father, can we not believe that He had a Father also? I despise the idea of being scared to death at such a doctrine, for the Bible is full of it.

6. Mormon prophets and apostles teach that there are many things that Jesus did not create. For example, He did not create our spirits, nor did He create Lucifer, nor did He even create the planet that He was born on as a spirit. The reason for this is because Mormons believe that Jesus and Lucifer are literally brothers, and we as humans are all the younger brothers and sisters of them. We were all born of heavenly parents, who did the creating work of their world (not all worlds whatsoever) before we arrived spiritually in heaven.

The appointment of Jesus to be the Savior of the world was contested by one of the other sons of God. He was called Lucifer, son of the morning. Haughty, ambitious, and covetous of power and glory, this spirit-brother of Jesus desperately tried to become the Savior of mankind (Milton R. Hunter, The Gospel through the Ages, 15).

7. Mormon prophets and apostles teach that we should not pray directly to Jesus. Rather, they can only pray directly to the Father in the name of Jesus. Apostle Bruce McConkie said concerning the Father, He is the one to whom we have direct access by prayer, and if there were some need -- which there is not -- to single out one member of the Godhead, for a special relationship, the Father, not the Son, would be the one to choose. Our relationship with the Son is one of brother or sister in the pre-mortal life.

Mormons also quibble that the Bible is full of errors and has been through many a translation such that many “plain and precious truths” have been left out of the translation we have today. Thus, Mormons unquestionably rest their faith in what their church tells them to believe, so long as they receive affirmation from what is called a “burning in their bosoms.” Christians, on the other hand, find no reason to think that many truths have been taken from Scripture. Why is it that all the various manuscripts of the Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek Scriptures, from which all the various versions come, are remarkably consistent with each other? Where is all the evidence that these manuscripts were cut up in such a way so as to delete the “plain and precious truths” found today in the restored Mormon Scriptures? Christians find no reason to doubt the words of the Lord Jesus when He said, “Scripture cannot be broken” (John 10:35), and “[h]eaven and earth shall pass away but my words shall not pass away” (Mat.24:35). It is the word of God, not our “burning in our bosoms,” that is a light to our path (Psalms 119:105).

Now you decide if Mormonism is contrary to what you believe or if you belong to the church of satan as suggested by Mormon prophets.

Racism is still prevalent in 2012

As we celebrated the election of the first African-American President of the United States in 2008, various hate groups began to surface because the white house no longer had white people in it.

President Obama was now the President of the United States. Although he is a Harvard Graduate, lawyer, and Senator, it still was not good enough for the racist and bigoted people that immediately began attacking his character and integrity.

First, he was attacked by racist and drugged-out talk radio personalities that spewed racist messages on a daily basis. They poisoned people’s mind with a lot of half- truths and innuendos.

Next, various right-wing conservative zealots on Fox News began to question President Obama’s birth certificate, former church, former pastor, and past acquaintances. The intent was to destroy his character in the minds of all those that were ignorant and weak-minded enough to listen.

Finally, there is the so-called tea party. These people are the worst. They will stop at nothing to have their way. Just as the KKK formed when slaves were emancipated, the tea party came on the scene when it became inevitable that we would have a Black President. They immediate began funding and selecting candidates to run for office to block everything that President Obama introduced. They are responsible for all the turmoil that went on in Washington for the past 3 years. They are filled with so much hate until they don’t have enough sense to realize that what affects minorities, affects them also. Their only goal is to make President Obama a one-term president, while the economy goes to hell.

Finally, many of the hate groups are saying,” We are going to take back OUR White House and OUR country.” Well, I have news for you. I like, many other descent and honest Americans is part of this country also. We work; we fought and died for this country; pay taxes; but most of all, WE VOTE!
