Rationing Begins: States Limiting Drug Prescriptions for Medicaid Patients

Sixteen states have set a limit on the number of prescription drugs they will cover for Medicaid patients, according to Kaiser Health News.

Seven of those states, according to Kaiser Health News, have enacted or tightened those limits in just the last two years.

Medicaid is a federal program that is carried out in partnership with state governments. It forms an important element of President Barack Obama’s health-care plan because under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act–AKA Obamcare–a larger number of people will be covered by Medicaid, as the income cap is raised for the program.

With both the expanded Medicaid program and the federal subsidy for health-care premiums that will be available to people earning up to 400 percent of the poverty level, a larger percentage of the population will be wholly or partially dependent on the government for their health care under Obamacare than are now.

In Alabama, Medicaid patients are now limited to one brand-name drug, and HIV and psychiatric drugs are excluded.

Illinois has limited Medicaid patients to just four prescription drugs as a cost-cutting move, and patients who need more than four must get permission from the state.

Hillary compares islamic violence to Christianity

You can’t help but wonder if Hillary Clinton was always blind to the nature of radical Islam or if she’s been influenced by her aide Huma Abedin.
Clinton defended her aide during a speech on religious freedom Monday in Washington, D.C.
Abedin has been in the news lately because the Left is shocked — shocked, they say — that a group of Congress members asked questions about her family ties to the Muslim extremist group the Muslim Brotherhood, which has come to power in Egypt and been the power behind the scenes in some of the “Arab Spring” uprisings.
When Rep. Michele Bachmann and four other Republicans authored a letter to officials in the State Department asking about several issues regarding infiltration of the Muslim Brotherhood in our government, Sen. John McCain and Rep. Keith Ellison jumped to attack Bachmann and try to portray the letter as an unwarranted attack on Abedin.
What the Republicans actually did was not attack Abedin, but merely ask questions about whether her family’s ties to the Brotherhood, which no one seems to have denied, had been examined when she was interviewed for her security clearance. It wasn’t even the major issue of the letter, which also asked about federal agents’ terrorism training, the Brotherhood’s political influence and other issues.
Clinton continued to divert attention from the issue of a Brotherhood-connected aide having easy access to the Secretary of State of an administration that seems to have linked its fortunes to the Brotherhood in the Middle East.
No, in Clinton’s and the Left’s minds, it’s all about protecting diversity:
“I don’t see enough of that. I want to see more of it. We did see some of that in our own country. We saw Republicans stepping up and standing up against the kind of assaults that really have no place in our politics. So we have to set an example, there is no doubt about that. And we have to continue doing so.”
Clinton and the rest of the Left thrive in a climate of moral relativism, so it’s no surprise that Clinton’s speech turned into a dismissal of Islam’s record of violence and an attempt to justify it by comparing Muslim terrorism to the Troubles in Northern Ireland, which always had as much or more to do with nationalist and unionist politics than religion.
Here’s the quote:
“Religions against one another, it is even within religions, within Christianity, within Judaism within, oh, Islam, within Hinduism there are people who believe their version of that religion is the only right way to believe. And so in some of the countries that we are concerned about that are majority Muslim countries it’s the intimidation and violence against Muslims who are in minority sects that we most worry about. We watched for many years the conflict in Northern Ireland against Catholics on the one side, Protestants on the other, so I think you’re right that there always are issues about terrorism, about separatism, but those should be dealt with under the law without infringing on the rights of people whose religious beliefs are different from the majority.”
She is right that Muslims love to fight each other. The Shiites and Sunnis have been at it for centuries.
But in regards to countries involved in the Arab Spring, it’s interesting that Clinton expresses worry about Muslim groups but says nothing about the Christian groups that are seeing churches burned, homes destroyed, and families tortured and killed.
Since last week, Muslim villagers in Dahshour, Egypt, have been hurling fire bombs at each other and burning Christians out of their homes after a Christian laundry operator accidentally burned a Muslim customer’s shirt. At least one person has been killed.
In Syria, Christians have been targeted by both government forces and rebels, who are reportedly led by members of the Muslim Brotherhood. Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that President Obama has helped fund the Syrian rebels. At least two prominent members of the Christian community have been killed in recent days, according to OneNewsNow.com, although names have not been released.
In just one incident in October 2011, the new Egyptian government’s security forces killed 25 demonstrators and injured 300 more, most of them Coptic Christians. The Egyptian government has also been turning a blind eye toward murders of Christians and destruction of churches, according to the federal government’s updated International Religious Freedom Report.
In a March letter, Bachmann and Sen. Rand Paul urged Clinton to suspend $1.3 billion in military aid to Egypt because of the atrocities being committed against Christians. The aid was supposed to be contingent upon the State Department certifying that the new Egyptian government was protecting freedom of speech and religion.
“A decision to waive the conditions on military aid would send the wrong message to the Egyptian government that U.S. taxpayers will subsidize the Egyptian military while it continues to oversee the crackdown on civil society and to commit human rights abuses,” the letter read.
Later that same month, Clinton waived the certification requirements and resumed aid to Egypt.
Presenting the report Monday to the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Clinton even acknowledged that incidents of human rights abuses seem to have increased since Egypt’s transition to “democracy.”
What she hasn’t done is answer the question of whether her aide was properly vetted and whether she or the president may have been influenced by the Muslim Brotherhood.
Americans deserve answers to those questions.

Former Democratic Senator Jon Corzine was the CEO of the now bankrupt M
F Global Fund which lost 1.6 Billion dollars of clients money. The
money just vaporized, they couldn't figure out where it went until they
recieved a 275 page investigation report that showed they had used
clients money onj the other side of their business to cover option
trading calls. Which as you can believe is illegal.

Jon Corzine has not and will not be charged with any wrong doing. What
! you've got to be kidding me. Nope. Attorney General Eric Holder and
Asst. Attorney General Lanny Breuer had worked for the law firm of
Covington & Burling which happens to represent M F Global. Anyone else find this curious?

When addressed on 10-28-2011 M F Global told regulators that the
clients funds had a balance of $200 million more than deposited. Which
was not correct unless you can lose $1 billion over the weekend on 10-30-2011
they then reported that the clients fund actually was minus $952 million.

Thanks, Obamacare: Doctor Shortages, Jobs Destroyed, Coverage Dropped

The Supreme Court’s decision last month to uphold the Obamacare mandate tax did not vindicate the propriety or efficacy of the law itself, a point Chief Justice Roberts explicitly statedin his ruling.  “It is not [The Court's] job to protect the people from the consequences of their political choices,” he wrote.  As we learn more about Obamacare’s practical consequences, the urgent need for repeal becomes increasingly apparent.  Consider the following news items from the past week alone:

(1) “Doctor Shortage Likely to Worsen with Health Law”:

The Association of American Medical Colleges estimates that in 2015 the country will have 62,900 fewer doctors than needed. And that number will more than double by 2025, as the expansion of insurance coverage and the aging of baby boomers drive up demand for care. Even without the health care law, the shortfall of doctors in 2025 would still exceed 100,000. Health experts, including many who support the law, say there is little that the government or the medical profession will be able to do to close the gap by 2014, when the law begins extending coverage to about 30 million Americans. It typically takes a decade to train a doctor.

“We have a shortage of every kind of doctor, except for plastic surgeons and dermatologists,” said Dr. G. Richard Olds, the dean of the new medical school at the University of California, Riverside, founded in part to address the region’s doctor shortage. “We’ll have a 5,000-physician shortage in 10 years, no matter what anybody does.” Experts describe a doctor shortage as an “invisible problem.” Patients still get care, but the process is often slow and difficult. In Riverside, it has left residents driving long distances to doctors, languishing on waiting lists, overusing emergency rooms and even forgoing care. “It results in delayed care and higher levels of acuity,” said Dustin Corcoran, the chief executive of the California Medical Association, which represents 35,000 physicians. People “access the health care system through the emergency department, rather than establishing a relationship with a primary care physician who might keep them from getting sicker.”

The article goes on to mention the draining pool of doctors who are accepting new Medicaid patients, which will throw up another obstacle to care for indigent Americans — especially after the entitlement program undergoes a massive, Obamacare-mandated expansion.  As opponents of the law repeatedly warned, access to health coverage does not equal access to health care.  In Canada and other countries with socialized medicine, everyone is “covered,” but doctors are scarce, innovation is curtailed and treatment is limited.  This can lead to long waiting periods, government rationing, perverse doctor lotteries and denied care.  Furthermore, Democrats chose to exclude meaningful tort reform from their 2,700 page bill, further hanging physicians out to dry.  This is why older doctors are quickly shuffling towards retirement, and many promising young students eschew medical school in favor of other careers. Obamacare takes our demographic struggles on this front and makes them even more acute, much sooner.

(2) “One in 10 Employers Plans to Drop Health Benefits, Study Finds:”

About one in 10 employers plans to end workers’ health insurance as the new healthcare law takes effect, according to a new study. The finding could bolster opponents of the law, who argue that its changes to the healthcare system will force workers out of insurance plans they like. Supporters of the law say most people will keep their current coverage. Surveying 560 U.S. companies, consulting firm Deloitte found that 9 percent of employers are planning to drop employee health benefits within three years. Eighty-one percent said they would continue covering employees, and 10 percent said they were not sure.

Is your employer among the 19 percent that are either planning to drop coverage, or are still considering it?  Let’s also recall the president’s verbatim promise during the healthcare debate: “If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period. No one will take it away. No matter what.”

DHS Gears Up for Civil Unrest Prior to Presidential Elections

The Department of Homeland Security has ordered masses of riot gear equipment to prepare for potential significant domestic riots at the Republican National Convention, Democratic National Convention and next year’s presidential inauguration.

The DHS submitted a rushed solicitation to the Federal Business Opportunities site on Wednesday, which is a portal for Federal government procurement requisitions over $25,000. The request gave the potential suppliers only one day to submit their proposals and a 15-day delivery requirement to Alexandria, Virginia.

As the brief explains, “the objective of this effort is to procure riot gear to prepare for the 2012 Democratic and Republican National Conventions, the 2013 Presidential Inauguration and other future similar activities.”

CBO: Obamacare levies $1 trillion in new taxes

President Obama’s health care law raises taxes by $1 trillion, according to a new report from the Congressional Budget Office.

The individual mandate — which the CBO calls a “penalty tax,” in apparent deference to Chief Justice John Roberts — will produce $55 billion in “penalty payments by uninsured individuals,” the CBO told House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, in a Tuesday letter. Of course, the framers of the law didn’t design the mandate as a tax, and so it produces less revenue than any other provision in the bill.

The “additional hospital insurance tax” is the largest tax increase in Obamacare, projected to bring in $318 billion in new revenues. According to the 2010 report from the Journal of Accountancy, this tax hits “high-income tax payers” — individuals making over $125,000 a year or households making over $250,000 a year.

More Evidence Obama Literally Not Doing the Job of President

The job of President of the United States is one that every occupant until Barack Obama has taken seriously. Every President prior to Barack Obama understood that the job entailed things like holding press conferences, meeting with members of Congress to compromise on budget issues, and learning the latest news about economic and international developments from the nation's best experts. 

These things matter, because the President of the United States must be intellectually prepared to make important decisions about the future of our country. But  President Obama has focused on the celebrity aspects of his job and neglected doing much of anything that involved actual work. He's  spent plenty of time on the golf course (more than 100 rounds in three and a half years), raising money (163 fundraisers and counting), giving campaign speeches, vacationing, and playing basketball.

Last month, ABC News spelled out the gory details of just how much time President Obama has spent raising money:

In the first 12 days of June, Obama has attended 21 fundraising events.  All told, he has now attended 163 re-election fundraisers for his campaign and the Democratic Party – almost double the number George W. Bush attended in his entire first term (86) and more than any other president in history.

But as for the real work of the job, President Obama has been a no-show.

Consider this evidence:

He’s not received an economic briefing in over a year—since April of 2011.

He’s held only three full press conferences since last June.

He’s spent no time whatsoever meeting with members of Congress on budget matters. In fact, in his administration, almost every statutorily required budget submission has been late.

In the last six months, he's not met once with his jobs council.

Almost four years after the American people elected him to hold the office of President, a growing number of Americans are coming to a stark conclusion. Barack Obama is not serious enough about the job to be worthy of it

Did U.S. Navy pray bin Laden into paradise?

Within 24 hours of being killed by U.S. Navy SEALS, al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden was reportedly given a Muslim burial at sea.
Existing U.S. Navy rules require the prayer for Muslim burials include the following: “O Allah, forgive him, have mercy on him, pardon him, grant him security, provide him a nice place and spacious lodgings, wash him (off from his sins) with water, snow and ice, purify him…make him enter paradise and save him from the trials of grave and the punishment of hell.”
Did the U.S. military -- which has cracked down on chaplains praying in Jesus' name -- actually send this mass murder to his eternal reward with such soothing words?

Amid the secrecy of the Barack Obama administration in Washington, somewhere there are the details of the U.S. Navy Seal raid in Pakistan and the subsequent burial at sea of Osama bin Laden.
Ever wonder what really happened?

Now officials at Judicial Watch have gone to court to pry that information loose.
The organization that monitors government actions and prosecutes misbehavior said yesterday that it has filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the U.S. Navy for records showing “any funeral ceremony, rite or ritual” for bin Laden before he was buried at sea.
The government has reported that after the May 2, 2011, Navy Seal Team Six raid that led to bin Laden’s capture and death, the al-Qaida leader reportedly was transported by the USS Carl Vinson and then buried at sea “in accordance with Muslim law.”
According to Navy regulations cited by Judicial Watch, the burial ceremony would have included a prayer to “Allah” to allow bin Laden to “enter paradise and save him from the trials of grave and the punishment of hell.”
Judicial Watch confirmed it has requested “Any and all records utilized, referenced, or relied upon during the preparation and execution of any funeral ceremony, rite or ritual for Osama bin Laden on the USS Carl Vinson prior to his burial at sea. This request includes, but is not limited to, the text of any prepared remarks or prayers, any instructions provided to those in attendance, or any instructions or guidance regarding the handling of bin Laden’s remains.”
The organization also wants access to “Any and all records of communication between any official or employee of the Department of the Navy and any official or employee of any other government department, agency or office regarding any funeral ceremony, rite, or ritual for Osama bin Laden prior to his burial at sea.”
The information request had been submitted in March and a response was due before the end of April, but Judicial Watch said it had not gotten anything.
“Barack Obama is playing politics with bin Laden’s death and ignoring the rule of law – especially the transparency laws that his appointees violate with impunity,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “I suspect the Obama administration is embarrassed by the burial ceremony, which explains our having to go to court to get basic information about this important piece of history.”
When word of the raid on the Pakistani compound where bin Laden was found and killed by Navy SEALS came out, ABC reported that bin Laden was buried at sea within 24 hours of his death – to follow Muslim law.
Reports at the time said bin Laden’s burial was conducted by a Muslim seaman, who said prayers.
It was ABC that reported at the time that bin Laden was buried in the Indian Ocean.
And existing U.S. Navy rules require that the prayer for Muslim burials includes the following: “O Allah, forgive him, have mercy on him, pardon him, grant him security, provide him a nice place and spacious lodgings, wash him (off from his sins) with water, snow and ice, purify him…make him enter paradise and save him from the trials of grave and the punishment of hell.”
Judicial Watch also is demanding the bin Laden post-mortem photos and video.
Obama administration officials continue to withhold those records.
Judicial Watch also sued the Obama Defense Department and CIA for access to records detailing communications between the Obama administration and Kathryn Bigelow, the Hollywood filmmaker who reportedly received classified information from administration officials in preparation for her upcoming film.
According to records already discovered by Judicial Watch, the Obama Defense Department suggested the commander of SEAL Team Six could be made available for the project.

News That Will Be Ignored By Establishment Media

Ordinarily, the story of a heroic citizen saving lives would be big news. But not when it demonstrates that an armed citizenry stops crime and saves lives.  The national media will ignore this dramatic story. Don Hudson of ABC4 News in Salt Lake City reports:

 A citizen with a gun stopped a knife wielding man as he began stabbing people Thursday evening at the downtown Salt Lake City Smith’s store.

Police say the suspect purchased a knife inside the store and then turned it into a weapon. Smith’s employee Dorothy Espinoza says, “He pulled it out and stood outside the Smiths in the foyer. And just started stabbing people and yelling you killed my people. You killed my people.”

Espinoza says, the knife wielding man seriously injured two people. “There is blood all over. One got stabbed in the stomach and got stabbed in the head and held his hands and got stabbed all over the arms.”

Then, before the suspect could find another victim – a citizen with a gun stopped the madness. “A guy pulled gun on him and told him to drop his weapon or he would shoot him. So, he dropped his weapon and the people from Smith’s grabbed him.”

From 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in
proportion to their percentage of the population.

They will push for the introduction of halal
(clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food
preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their shelves

they will increase lawlessness as a means of complaint
about their conditions ( Paris --car-burnings). Any non-Muslim
action that offends Islam will result in uprisings and threats
( Amsterdam - Mohammed cartoons).

Kenya -- Muslim 10%

After reaching 20% expect hair-trigger rioting,
jihad militia formations, sporadic killings and
church and synagogue burning:

Muslims do not integrate into the community at large. Therefore, they exercise
more power than their national average would indicate.
