I am still mad about Powerball and the declining cash percentage.  I do not want to travel  to Vancouver for Mega Millions because I am still tight with the Lottery budget.  So I told my mother that if she wanted to buy Powerball go ahead but I will wait until the jackpot is at least $100 million in the cash option before buying another ticket.  So she said that we would get one ticket tonight from the Corner store since they had the luck selling the Megabucks winner.-weshar75   

I have been a dedicated Powerball player for between 10 and 11 years now and to see the cash value drop drastically like it has over that time makes me sick.  I am not concerned about all the annuity records set because the simple fact is that most winners take the cash option.  The last drawings cash value was around 46%.  I think that if it stays this way my dollars are going to stay in my pocket and I will not be a regular player.  I will only contribute to the pot when the cash option is $100 million.-weshar75

Lottery Officials gave out three top prizes on friday to first day winners.  Richard Garland of Newton won from a Carolina Cash instant win ticket $100,000 minus the taxes.  Army Sgt. A Cross lanes pub named Brewster's is owned by Jack Whittaker didn't have enough funds to cover what they owed the West Virginia Lottery Commission for running Video Lottery machines.  Mr. Whittaker showd up to the Lottery Headquarters with his lawyer to pay the overdue money and asked for more time to figure out why the payment was late.  The pub still could be fined $7,000 for the late payment.  Source is yahoo news section.-weshar75
