From her FB page

Listen, as you can all imagine, there are a ton of messages coming in, & there is so much to do. Please send 1 message if you have a request or pitch or plea. I promise to read them all & even if it takes a month to go through, all of your messages will be acknowledged. Please be patient, & respectful of privacy, don't be rude. Thanks

She really shouldn't have posted this. It's going to throw the sharks into a frenzy. Disapprove

She seems like a nice person, and I wish her the best Congrats!!Party

I agree, the sharks are already on their way! I read some of the requests...geez let the lady at least accept the winnings first dayum....I would have definitely taken a differnet route and NOT created a FB page.

Also Im wondering if those FB pages are even legit, or if they were created by someone else trying to get attention.

Poor thing.  She's a nice lady, but she needs to show some teeth and claws.  Otherwise, she'll be overwhelmed with all the pressure.

Now im Happy for her and have NO idea of her situation but there are stories, true and untrue all the time of women leaving their husband for other men/women/careers whatever and then using the bias legal system to keep the kids from her husband. So what im saying is dont judge her situation for the good or bad, the husband may very well have been put through hell and karma may be in play.

Do i believe this is true..nahh, most likely its a divorce where they could not afford the divorce (been there) and they could be great friends and he may take a "token" .

Now i hope that the legal vultures can be kept out of it and not pursuade him to go for half (if thats not what they want) and by vultures i dont lump all lawyers, just ones that work on percentage Big Grin

Good luck and happy "houdini-ing" to the winner!!

Why would she go out and make a facebook page? The first thing I'd be doing is deleting that! Second, her husband sadly will get some money which is sad really, and finally, I hope she does well with this money but the Sharks are out now..

I Agree! I believe she already had a facebook page before the win then she deleted it. The sharks and leeches is lurking, she seem like the smart type that knows how to handle money, besides she was a bank teller.Approve

                          PERDUE,

Considering some of the threads here on LP about exes being granted shares of jackpots, I don't think it would matter if a person was "completely out" of a relationship or not.

Isn't there a thread in the news about someone who had been divorced for 10 years surfacing, asking for half of a jackpot, and getting it?

People should remember that this was in the U.K. Although the language is the same, the laws are very different than in the U.S.A.

                            From Artemis' post:

                            From her FB page

If she really did that (and it's not someone posing as her) she has got to be really naive. I hope we don't see her on The Curse of the Lottery.

I sure hope she did delete it all.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

                            Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

Me personallyi I would have waited least 2 months to cash8 the ticket(trust) that way all the curiosity of who won the lottery is dead. You already have the money in a sense now that you have the ticket.just put in a safety deposit box or bank, keep your mouth closed.and just sit down those two months and make plans for your money. But some people. Are so anxious and are surprised when the sharks smell blood in the water.Lao.
