To realistically believe that you are going to remain anonymous after winning the biggest lottery jackpot in history is a pipe dream at best. Unless you live absolutely the exact same lifestyle that you were living before and stay in your jobs, people will figure out who you are real fast. Hell the bank tellers at the bank will figure out who is who in a short time and leak that info for the right amount of money.

And trust me, even though everything seems fine right now, I guarantee a lawsuit is waiting in the wings. Someone whether it is true or not will claim they were part of this pool and got screwed over.

Everyone understands that complete anonymity is impossible. What you don't seem to understand is that people want to be as anonymous AS POSSIBLE to avoid the trash and scum that comes out of the woodwork when people win large sums of money. If you can avoid the large crowds of people that think they are entitled to your money, isn't it worth the effort to claim your jackpot anonymously? Why tell the ENTIRE world that you won a huge jackpot?Seems kind of stupid to me.

How in the world can you guarentee that there is going to be a lawsuit over these people claiming THEIR jackpot anonymously?

If a woman that knew she did not win could go through the process of claiming she won you don't think that someone will take the chance on suing over a $200 million jackpot? Seriously?

Stop being stupid, how are you going to remain anonymous when you went from making $15,000 to $40,000 a year to having $35 million in the bank? I think people might figure it out when you start driving a new Mercedes or buy a million dollar house.

No the kitchen is not necessarily dull, but since "she" decided to get sexist I just thought I would return the favor and attack again, and with the same bitter medicine she uses.

"aartiste77" is just bitter because no one asked her to go to her high school prom. she was studying so she could get all those "degrees" so she could make more money than us.

Nothing stupid about remaining as anonymous as possible. The stupid ones will claim their jackpots with all the fanfare they can .Seems to me that includes you.

they don't get it venom. these wishing everyone could be anonymous supporters are only leaning that way so if they hit something they can remain anonymous. somewhat moot since less than a handful of state allow it anyway. what's the point of playing a big jackpot lottery if you want to keep your same lifestyle after you win it. they might as well only play cash5's and be satisfied with not being bothered with 100k win. i'd also like to really see their reaction if a close friend or relative won 100 million dollars and didn't give them a dime. they say they are ok with that because that's what they want to do if they win. keep it to themselves. but resentment and bitterness would set it with hours if they got stiffed. that you could bet on.

You need to grasp the fact that not everybody would be tooling around their town in a new Mercedes or buying a million dollar house in that town. And those who do feel so inclined and want to remain anonymous would be smart enough to move out of town.

Plus, there's a significant difference between some people in your town knowing you're a big jackpot winner and your name being plastered all over the national media in newspapers, on television, and on internet sites...like this one.

They should feel ripped off for any jackpot game that they did not win, especially one where no real winners are seen. But people are gullible these days and believe anything they read, and assume that the lottery is all legit. Some however need more proof than hearsay.

If you believe the lottery is a scam and not legit why the hell do you belong to Lottery Post?ROFL

Life is tougher on stupid people, whether they win the lottery or not, and whether they can be anonymous after winning or not. Some people are stupid enough to stay in the same house or move just a few blocks away and then start spending 10 times as much as they used to. Others are clever enough to  move further away and/or be more discreet. Some people make big changes immediately, and others have the sense to wait a while. It's really not that difficult at all to keep people from knowing your finances have improved dramatically, as long as you've got a bit of self control and aren't a moron.

Anyone who cannot see the value in remaining anonymous as long as possible is the stupid one.

I can guarantee in the entire history of lottery play there's not one winner who chose to remain unidentified and regretted it. There's plenty of stories that speak to the flip-side of that scenario.

                            Nuff said.
