Last Saturday night, I had a nightmare that I won. I think all my fears collided: kidnappings, threats, family breaking up, you name it.

You know...now that I think about it, I wonder how many newspaper articles I read before bed that were all negative winner stories. That would explain that dream!

Yet, I am buying less tickets this time. When no one won on Saturday, it psychologically made me realize how bad the odds are. I spent about $30 and my husband spent $20. This time I'm spending maybe $12. That way, at least I still have a chance but I'm not going to blow a wad of cash on it. If it's meant to be, it's meant to be.

And I'd like to win to prove that dream wrong!

(Note: just found out hubby bought bought $20 again. Oh well!)

I am going out on a limb and say that no one is going to win the Jackpot tonight. I don't think anyone will win the jackpot until January 23, 2016.

This is a real possibility. Under the old odds we would have likely had a winner a week ago. Seems like we may be reaching the ceiling on ticket sales for a drawing, cause the jackpot amount hasn't increased so far today. Probably will go up at drawing time. I also suspect that a lot of people went all in on Saturday's drawing and can't spend as much for tonight's.

This jackpot won't be won until Wednesday the following week.  Players have thrown millions at it and they got disappointed when they didn't win.  Interest has died down a bit.  She will roll.  The jackpot will reach $2+ billions.

All this frenzy but has anyone asked themselves this question:

"Why do you deserve to win? Why do you want to win so bad?"

What goals do you have? And please, refrain from saying "I'm going to buy a house and a Mercedes"

you don't need a billion to buy a house or a Mercedes :)

When ever I buy lottery tickets I'm hoping to get lucky and win big and that is my only goal. Wink

Just imagine, An elderly lady goes shopping and sees a long line at the store, and asks someone " What's all this about? ", and another person says " Don't you know, the Powerball game is over $1billion ", and the elderly lady says " I'll get one too! " And now, it's Wednesday, January 13th and the Powerball numbers are drawn. The elderly lady pulls out her Powerball lottery ticket and checks her numbers and says " I got all those numbers! " and she  finds out that she won the whole jackpot! I'm thinking, this just might happen. Wow.

I was at Albertson's at about 1 pm and nobody at the vending machines.  However, I saw 3 or 4 people buying lottery at the customer service counter in the 5 minutes I waited in line.  I would guess this means they were all newbies who either didn't know about the machines (they're only 6' from CS) or didn't know how to use them.  Bet there's lots of people in this draw that have never played before.

Or maybe they were using debit cards.

I saw 2 with cash in hand when they were in line.  Dunno about the others.

I agree with you whether it is 40 Million or 1.5 Billion.
