My state sucked, I don't even think there were any 4+0 or 4+1 winners at all LOL!

Oh well back to normal low jackpots.  The one major advantage you have to winning a < $100,000,000 jackpot is that no one cares!LOL

I thought you said it was too easy to win.

"Can the winner of a large Lottery prize remain anonymous?

It is the policy of the Tennessee Lottery to treat such information as a public record. The Lottery will therefore disclose the name, home state and home town of winners if a request is received for such information."

        source:

        https://www.tnlottery.com/faq/faq.aspx

Jacintasc, understands this a state law issue. (TN allows this while the other two don't.)

Whiteballz, Stop taking lotteries words for the ever little thing (If they told you the sun is blue would you take them at their word for it?) and understand they are not your friends or have your best interest at heart.

They won't walk you through the way to get around the media finding out who you are or how to bypass the states "public record" laws.

Did you even check to see if the TN anonymous winner my post has a ref link to is even real? That disproves what you just posted man!

That is lawyer speak that you're mistaking for hard fact here. Let me walk you through it.

"Such information" Is your main clue. What information is inside a trust the lottery has to give to the public?

The trust won’t have your name, yet the first trust will claim the cash for you and the lottery will only have the info that's inside first trust papers given to them. They only have the legal record of the first trust.

The first trust, like all trusts, includes three types of people: (1) grantor – that is the lawyer, the creator of the trust (again the lawyer or even wealth managers. (2) trustee – this is also the lawyer or wealth managers, the person who manages the trust and (3) beneficiary – again, this would only be the name of the 2nd trust, that then receives the money.

The lottery only knows 2 things. The lawyer name and or wealth manager's name, and what the "name" of 2nd trust is.
Not who is in the 2nd trust. They have no clue who the " beneficiary" is in the 2nd trust. You are hidden. They don't have that info, there is no public record with your name. The trust "names" and the lawyer are on the public records only. You have circumvented the public records. Wink

Reread my first post again and try to comprehend the info am giving you here.

P.S. Have you ever seen Nesting Dolls? This is what going on:

        No bees, no honey.

Well yeah, it is for winners, but not everyone else.

Given the size of the JP i am glad there were 3 winners who got to share in it. Congrats to the winners!!

The lottery office, the FEDS, the IRS, your state and local government all know who you are. If someone wants to find you they will find you. If you owe back taxes they will be taken out, likewise for student loans, child support, money judgements against you, etc. Why hide it? I would be there for the cameras saying "I'm rich!"

Winning ticket sold in Melbourne Florida......

I thought it would have been a Publix in Miami!

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

                    Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

81 lucky players matched the first 5 numbers for a $1,000,000 prize the article says.

But only 8 who played the Power Play are technically millionaires because of the taxes but the lottery likes to publish articles saying they've created 81 millionaires which hypes people up to play.  Heck they don't need to hype me up, I'd play anyways just show me the lottery store!

69 actually, since lower tier Powerball prizes are para-mutuel in California. The 12 California winners lost out and will only receive $638,146 before taxes. Still a bundle though.

It's even worse for CA 3rd tier winners who instead of receiving $50,000 will only get about 1/4 that, before taxes: $13,903.

While 2nd & 3rd tier California winners are getting short-changed, they still won far more than the vast, vast majority of other Powerball players.

Good to see that there were at least three winning tickets. Naughty

Do We know  yet  if any of three consisted of individuals or lottery pools?

Heard that pools with over 10 players would need to set up an LLC  to distribute the money to all the pool members

as Power Ball will only pay out up to ten names per winning ticket.

                        Wink
