I have a feeling that she is not going to move on, why, because of love.  Yes, love, well her love might be the thing between his legs.

MARIE HOLMES, please move on and meet a guy that is not into drugs but into you and your kids!

As a pro black black man who loves ALL races of people, I have no problem with his comment. I'm sure he's heard of dumb WHITE lottery winners, like Victoria Zell and Jack Whittaker.

      It was just a joke.

Rappers have made BILLIONS of dollars using the "N" word and made it fashionable.

When I was in line at the liqour store last week, they were playing some black rapper's song through the store's speakers, where almost every other word was the N word.

Being the only black person in the store, hearing the rapper's continuous use of the N word in the presence of a bunch of white people was embarrassing.

Well, I, as a non-white person, have a big issue with his comment. It was deliberate and it definitely wasn't a joke.

Whether he was simply race-baiting or it was written because he actually believes that his statement was logical, it still isn't funny. How many hundreds of pages on LP have been dedicated to discussing the stupidity of many lottery winners, and most of the people being discussed aren't black. Anyone with an IQ above a double digit would know that stupid lottery winners aren't a white or black issue.

Cherry picking one person just to insult an entire group of people IS racist, made even more so because it was so unnecessary. And frankly, I'm a little fed up with people using the rapper excuse to downplay someone else's bigotry.

I might wake up early and go running.  I might also wake up and win the lottery.

The odds are about the same.

I hope she sees the light, but I have my doubts.  Yes Nod     I wouldn't be surprised if we 1 day read a story here where she is "broke".   I Agree!

Have you noticed that the only time these types of lottery winners see the light is when all the money is gone?

If you take a look at Sharon Tirabassi, Michael Carrol and Callie Rogers, none of them wised up until all they were bankrupt. Then and only then did the light bulb click on. Right now, the only thing working in Marie's favor is that she won such a large sum. She actually has a chance of coming to her senses before everything is gone. Otherwise, we'll have to wait for her to lose it all before that moment of clarity knocks her on the head.

I might wake up early and go running.  I might also wake up and win the lottery.

The odds are about the same.

Bad women are made for bad men and good women are made for good men.

            The Virgin Mary was made for Joseph the Carpenter and Bonnie Parker was made for Bonnie and Clyde;

Most times, women get the type of man they deserve...that's life.

Now she can spend her money and not worry about this douchebag.

That's the hope. But if she continues to pay large fines, and it continues to go into the government's coffers, where exactly does it end up?

The woman is careless and potentially dangerous.

                • Don't chase the numbers you play.
                • Play only numbers you've already played, plus however many random picks.
                • But, ALWAYS the regular numbers you play.  This will make you a winner, not a chaser.

                  Type well said Todd

but as I originally stated and caught a lot of flak for saying "she'd be broke inside of 3 years"

                  b4 congratulating her first

a few things remain obvious :

                  1. its been just a thin hair over a year since this young lady and the thug got lucky
                  2. millions have been spent on bailing this thug out of jail and on lawyers
                  3. and since its also obvious she has an issue with both drugs and the thuggish life as well

I wonder which is more important to her ??

                  Yes.     "LADY AND THE THUG".

According to some reports, the sauce master got all shook up at  the attention that was being paid to Ms Holmes bailing him out on a consistent basis. His words to the press were something like " we were together before the win, now that she has the money, why should anything change?" He said if she was in trouble he would do the same thing for her, namely : bail her out."...

                        Think he has a point?

I think she needs to get rid of this guy and read the book "How to be Invisible" by J.J. Luna, then follow the advice in it and disappear.  Considering the sort she was running with, I think kidnapping, extortion, etc. are real possibilities, so she needs to get and stay under the radar.

It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. You seem very intelligent. I think that people often take things too seriously. When he asked, "Maybe it's a black thing?", I immediately thought back to the eighties, when many blacks wore t-shirts with the slogan, "Maybe it's a black thing. You wouldn't understand."

Perhaps that's what inspired him to ask, "Maybe it's a black thing?", because no logical thinking person could understand.

About your being "fed up with people using the rapper excuse to downplay someone else's bigotry", well I don't believe he is a bigot. In this society of different races, genders, and nationalities, we need to be more flexible and stop expecting everyone to be perfect. I am well aware of the history of blacks and natives in this country and I know what MILLIONS of blacks and natives are going through today, but that doesn't excuse the self destructive behavior of black people, such as mass producing illegitimate children half raised in homes without fathers that grow up to commit the majority of violent black on black crime.
