UK Lottery - Where the money goes!
The UK National Lottery has generated over 22 billion for the Good Causes, and counting. As has always been the case, the total amount which goes to the Good Causes depends on the mix of sales across different games and sales channels, the level of unclaimed prizes - and the amount raised in investment income from National Lottery balances waiting to be allocated. In the period up to March 2010, around 28% of total National Lottery revenue is expected to go to the Good Causes. During th

Do you play the UK National Lottery?
I like the UK lottery and all the money it raises for good causes. Lottery revenue is also funding the 2012 Olympics, both venues and athletes. I play the UK lottery my subscription and I pay by monthly direct debit. It is very convenient, as I don't have to pay for the whole year upfront; and any prizes are also automatically credited to by bank account. If you would like to help raise money for good causes, why not have a little fun along the way. And you never know, it could be you!

UK National Lottery jackpot dwindling - Is it worth playing anymore?
I might stop playing this game and double stake on the Euro millions instead as it used to pay 20 million on a Saturday night, but this Saturday it was only 2 million, what next 200,000? I wouldn't mind so much but they have also doubled the cost of a ticket from 1 to 2 just doesn't seem worth it anymore.

How I helped the UK win gold in London 2012!
As a subscriber to the UK National Lottery, I have supported athletes and facilities for tainting and parts of the actual olympic facilities. The Lottery is a perfect way to provide funding for an olympics. If there is a shortfall in funds when it is all over, I suspect the lottery will pick up the tab. Other cities should look at lottery funding to support such a bid.

Do you play an overseas lottery?
I still play the UK national lottery. I played when I lived in London and continued to play by subscription after I moved to Australia. I have not won any big prizes yet, but I regularly win 5 and 10 pound prizes. If I win a big prize I'll let you know.

Do you play an out-of-state lottery?
I play the UK National Lottery by subscription. You need a UK address to play the UK Lottery. I haven't won anything big yet, but I have won several small prizes, from 10, and 15 pounds and one for 65 pounds. I like the fact that I can pay by direst debit, you do need a UK bank account to do that, and any prizes are credited back to same bank account. It is a very professionally run operation.
