How would you feel if this happened to you? Read my story.
This happened to me the other day (about 3 draw ago)when I was playing Mega Millions in Ohio on the Ohio Turnpike. I stopped at a service plaza to buy some tickets. Instead of going to a store clerk, I went to a lotto machine to get my tickets. I usually test the machine to see if it will take a play slip because of problems in the past with lotto machines. Well, the machine literally ate the first playslip. Foolishly, thinking this is how this machine operates(waits for you to press a button be

Does anyone have luck with vending machines for scratch tickets?
I do not buy scratch off's from a vending machine. I like to see the number of the ticket Im buying. I also wouldn't like if the ticket got stuck in the machine.....

I was given 2 draws for Megamillions what does this mean?
OH truly I mean people can screw up butter on toast so a playslip is not far from that since all they have to do is run it thru the machine and the ticket prints out...well here they dont even have to push a button if you have a playslip, they just run it thru and the machine spits out your ticket

Whilst Ive felt this grey cloud over my lottery plays, I continued to be apart of the masses and perservere thru this slump. Untill.....Today!! I proudly gained the surely the good luck fairy will guide me today! So into my little five and dime lottery store.. Rarely is there more then two folks inhabitating this little place, until today! Crowds of people stopping in due to a down pour of rain...So I was left to wait fifteen minutes til the lady could get to the machine to take my

Tried my first lottery ticket machine today!
Multiple times I have had a printed ticket get jammed because I get to eager and grab it and touch it before its all the way out and it'll curl just enough to get stuck in the machine, and once a scratch-it ticket didn't fall out, and when I told customer service, they got a key holder to open it up with no problems, and were able to dislodge my stuck tickets without any damage. I've never had a printing malfunction though. Id much rather use the machine than deal with someone at a regis

Strange one today...
Quite simply. NO IT would not pass the valid ticket authorization test in my state. Would need the store machine number, ticket# and various other information to be claimed as legitimate. I had a ticket one time from the automated machines (BIG MISTAKE!!) That cut off the tickets half way...didnt have the bar and was missing half the numbers from the five$ QP. I was livid! The machine had a nice sign that said Not responsible for malfunctions of machine.

A crazy lottery story
This morning I purchased two lottery tickets for this week's Mega and Power from a vending machine. They were quick picks. The computer definitely generated two sets of numbers but the printer jammed and no tickets were printed. When they opened the machine and pulled out the ticket paper it was all blank. There was just a young kid working there who knew nothing. I have since been told that the computer will void the first ticket that jammed but the second ticket (the powerball) should print as

Just for fun: You have the clerk slide your playslip through the machine and it has a hiccup..
This happened yesterday to a guy in front of me- he handed the clerk his PB slip with 2 lines, the clerk slides it through the machine, hands the ticket back to this guy and waits for the printout to emerge, well 5 seconds pass and the clerk asks the guy for his slip once more to run it through...well, out comes 2 tickets, the machine had to have recorded the ticket when it went through the first time, by running it once more- it produced another ticket, same numbers. The clerks said he was sorry

Why is it that when checking your losing lottery tickets- the machine always says " Sorry"?
I've seen both messages, Sorry, not a winner and Not a winner on the same scanner so it might depend on the game. We have self serve vending machines and a losing ticket will show a red box, but if the ticket was previously scanned and paid, the red box will have a line through it. I thought it would be funny if the message said Did you really think we would pay twice? . For winning tickets, there is an option to add the credits, but only tickets can be purchased with the credits so if you do
