Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Neither the regional District Offices nor the main headquarters (which is a DO itself) send tickets to retailers. What books they have, they keep and sell themselves. Tickets are delivered to retailers from a warehouse managed by a third party. The only exception to this, which I've had explained to me but never been able to verify by seeing in practice, is that sometimes a Lottery rep will take an unopened book from one store where it's been sitting for a long time and personally transfer it to

While I may not like the picking-and-choosing aspect of it, I do understand it. Having interacted with a few retailers who intentionally stuffed the 100X books (likewise with Shimmering 7's) to the backs of their bins because the game wasn't selling as quickly as Florida Cash (and therefore making them less money), I get why the Lottery would want to call back unopened books from locations that weren't selling them to send them to locations that would. It sucks for those of us, few that we ma

Is there an attorney willing to look into this case/matter NYS lottery Do we have a case?
Counselor, the NYS Lottery commission, which is governed by the NYS legislation and the rules set forth has a different way to deal with the scratch offs. Let's say for a scratch off game they print 20 million tickets. Their are over 17 thousand retailers throughout NYS that are authorized sellers. Every business orders games. The have books of scratch offs opened to sell and some behind the counter waiting for them to open them. When a book is opened for sale from that day until 45 day

so, I did just that. Went to my corner Mobile and got fifteen of the 2.00 lfl...037-051. 037 = 4.00 048 = 4.00 050 = 2.00 I'm pretty much over this game already. I did get 87 entries into the drawing...or was it 174? each ticket entered repeated itself...sort of like a 2 for 1 deal. Tomorrow's another day. Don't know if I should stick with one game? or stick with one retailer? I feel like I'm shooting in the dark here. From the time I started posting and sharing winning tickets

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
My reasoning is based on the fact that I personally do not care much about the smaller prizes (though I will be very happy if I do win a smaller prize). So, the way I look at it is what is the probability of picking one of the12 top prize tickets from a pool of 72 million tickets? If I have 20 chances to pick one of 12 from the pool of 72 million tickets, my odds are 1 in 300,000. Also, as mrcraft and others have pointed out, these odds are not accurate because some tickets may never be part

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
Hi everyone, new poster here :) I was wondering when you find some winners from a store, do you go back and buy more from the same roll or try a new place? I hit this one at a Valero gas station a few days ago (bought tickets #021 and #022, first was a loser) and also a $50 winner on the $5 Fantastic 5's. I think to myself, because I hit a few big winners, there can't be anymore on those rolls so I don't bother going to the same retailer for awhile. Is that usually the case or have y

"Peeking" is scanning unsold cards to determine winners
Spincognito: So Massachusetts doesn't have any self-ticket checkers (i.e. player scans to see if winner)? I'm not thoroughly familiar with their lottery. You also say, Clerks cannot scan more than one losing ticket or the system will not allow them to scan another ticket without scratching the complete void code. There is no way for them to scan a whole book of tickets to determine winners and losers. If I'm understanding correctly, all they would have to do is scan one ticket, if lose

HI Rudeboy805, One of the reasons I don't understand why he would remove the lottery sales from his shop is because it's a great driver of traffic to your store, regardless if you have a liquor store, donut shop, coffee shop, etc. Especially when the jackpot gets really high like it is now with Mega Millions and Powerball. You already have workers there ringing people up, why not have them ring up another $5-20 in scratcher/lottery sales? I'd rather not say what my gross sales are, but su

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
Hi Rudeboy805, What kind of a store was it? This is actually pretty hard to quantify, since many customers don't always return to my shop to cash their winners. But if the reaction of new customers walking into my shop is any indication, I would say our avg winning ticket is pretty high relative to our sales. But you have to take into account the volume that we sell as well. We stopped displaying $100 winners about 5 years ago because we get too many of those. The only exception are new games

After I posted my comment, I looked at the differences between the two. It's about a 4% extra return on average for lower tier prizes. I used 100 tickets as a basis, but in reality one needs to play, on average, a few hundred tickets to achieve the 4%. I would rather see the CA Lottery achieve better lower tier prize payouts by increasing the payout rate, not by redistributing the prize fund by doubling the odds of top prizes. They could increase the payout rate a few percentage points, add m
