Do FL scratch off vending machines dispense randomly?
depends on the store - they can put tickets in the machine from highest to lowest - lowest to highest - and at the counter as well - they will sometimes 'scotch tape' the first ticket from the next roll in the machine to the last ticket for a steady flow of tickets- so in your case the last two tickets 001 then 000 ended that roll and the next new roll (scotch taped) started with ticket 029 - if you bought the next two you would get 028, 027 Publix store manager told me they start with highes

Georgia Lottery Scratch Offs
Had to pickup dinner last night and needed to play cash 3 and cash 4. There were several stores near where I was going but I couldn't decide which one since I thought maybe I will buy a ticket or 2. Ultimately I decided on a QT because I typically don't buy tickets from there which is what I am trying not to do. I filled out my ticket and proceeded to the machine as they have one of those full serve vending machines. Well I wanted to play 2222 and 4444 in cash 4 but they were sold out. So with t

Winning a free ticket, want cash instead
When you win a free ticket from a scratch off, is it possible to get cash with the same value of the free ticket? In my experience, the only way that you could do that if you redeem your ticket with a retailer that only sells scratch off with a lottery vending machine. They don't give you free ticket because it is just too much trouble for them to go over the machine and give you a free ticket. So, they just give you cash and hoping that you would spend it to buy a ticket there but you don't

Machine Operator Claims $60.2M Powerball
An electronics plant worker came forward Thursday to claim half of the $221.5 million Powerball jackpot, more than two weeks after she bought the winning ticket.Lisa Ensor said she had kept the ticket in a safe-deposit box as she sought legal and financial advice. She did not share the news with most friends and family until Thursday, when she presented her ticket to Pennsylvania Lottery officials and opted for the $60.2 million cash payout. You can't imagine it's unbelievable, Ensor, 42, said

Kind of weird, lottery machine
I've had a machine start to spit out my ticket then pull it back in, and I've had one sound like it generated a ticket but it never came out. In both cases I contacted a CS person and they opened the machine to retrieve my ticket. It was in there, but encountered a glitch trying to leave the womb. I wonder if the person before you had a problem and just left, so the ticket you bought forced theirs out while yours stayed in the machine for the next person? I wish they could give us draw ter

Computer Glitch? Comments please.
Probably a computer glitch yes. I have had this happen with pick 3 already using the filled out tickets. Also I have had machines at certain stores that wont even read the ticket I had filled out much to the dismay of the clerk and myself! I even filled out a brand new ticket while the clerk watched and the machine would still not take the ticket! Then the clerk filled out another brand new ticket and again the machine would not take it! I also had a clerk run my ticket through

retailer on long island tries to scam 1 mil
Yep! Yep! One does have to watch some of those Store Clerks, especially here in New Jersey where I am. One incident I've personally experienced when buying scratch-offs was the clerk after opening a new package of scratch offs, didn't validate them or key the package code numbers in on the lottery machine before selling them. Low and behold I bought one of them, but did not scratch it off until I got home. It turned out to be worth $50.00 so, I decided to redeem it at another store. Surely enoug

Having a lottery machine: Now that's the ticket
I don't think anyone would be stupid enough to purchase tickets if they weren't on the original roll of tickets. I have a relatively high IQ and do dumb things all the time! Yet I'm the first to think boy that person is dumb when I read about a scam. My friends say wait until it happens to you, Nancy, since I'm so critical when people mail money or are victims of schemes. However, I see the same people all the time at the stores I shop in and probably would buy a lone ticket if the cashier

Cheated winner wants Texas Lottery to pay up
Au Contraire. It is because of the thefts of winning tickets, the TLC decided to install these scan machines in the stores. These scanners are used just like those price scanners you see posted in Wal-Mart. all you have to do is place your barcode on your ticket under the infrared and the screen will tell you if the ticket is a winner, hell it even plays a we're in the money jingle when you scan a winning ticket. And if your ticket is more than $599 it will tell you to go to the local lottery of

What would you do in this situation?
Apparently the clerk in your case must have already told the machine to print tickets for 10 drawing before running your card. Most of the time when I buy tickets the clerks seem to punch one button a couple of times or more. I'm guessing they've mostly learned to hit the clear or cancel button before starting. I did have a clerk ask me for $2 after printing my single $1 ticket once. They apparently hadn't cleared the last sale, so after printing mine the machine showed the price for 2 tickets.
