Good luck winning it. I tried for years and couldn't do it. I tried studying the numbers and looked at it from all kinds of different angles. The odds make it near impossible to get much out of it. Now with lower jackpots I don't care to continue to chase. It takes near 80-1 odds to just win a small dollar amount prize. Getting 4 numbers is very rare and all 5 seems a lot harder than what the odds say.

I've discovered a relationship in the Powerball draws which improves the odds of a 5 white ball hit by a factor of 35.7. 69 choose 5 = 11,238,513, so the odds of a 5W hit are 1 in 11,238,513, assuming the balls are equally likely to be picked. The only thing We achieve is just tackle a smaller set first but at the end, when We expand to 5 positions, We would still be facing the same odds. Also playing pick 3 as pick 3 000 to 999 with odds per position as math averages, etc. won't be same for the middle 3 powerball or megamillions numbers.
