Britain's record lottery winners go public
Given their health problems, I would hope the first people they meet with are trusted lawyers, accountants, and financial advisors. They will definitely need some trusts and such drawn up, otherwise unless they get the best healthcare money can buy and lose some of that excess weight they are carrying around, they may not be around too long to enjoy all those millions they just won. After the financials are in place, the next people they should meet with are doctors and specialists and medically

Ottawa barber, client share $32M lottery win
This is a very sweet story. There is not greed involved. One splurges with $3 dollars and then collets the $1.50 after he realized it was a winning ticket.. what shocked me actually was the 35 relatives!!! I don't know what the taxes are in Ontario but if is cash value that about 8 million before taxes it could be $5 million after taxes which is nice. But geez 35 relatives if they all got 10k each thats an average of 175k for each lotto winner. I only have 3 peple to tell when i when=Mom,Dad bro

Thank you for sharing that excerp. The best advisor I have found is that gut feeling. Hasnt failed yet. ANyone that does come into the confidence of a persons financials has got to be out for the person/family well being. Anything less is dismissable.

Why does it take so long ...
They know if there was a jackpot winner within a minute or two. That's easy. However, it takes a few hours because of all the auditing that takes place following the drawing. Lotteries normally do pre-drawings and post-drawings, and that's just to audit the draw machines themselves. They also have to audit all the sales and financials from all the states, and it's just a matter of taking time. These things all take place so that the government has the appropriate checks and balances in place

Said & done before but ...
Yes I am, but it won't help me when an ex comes after me, nor will it help if I am sued for grabbing that cutie on the butt. It won't matter what you chose when you have a car accident and the accident was your fault. You can't hide millions, the IRS won't let you. You turn up with a huge variable on your worth, and the IRS will be on you like smell on sardines. You think you can tie up cash in an investment, and a lwayer can't get at it? Guess again, those things are public records, thus tar

I wonder how many would actually stay on here after winning millions?I figured the night before I won the big one ($90M+) would be the last time I logged onto LP. It would be last night I watched a movie of some one having fun in Las Vegas, or Los Angeles, or Peking, or Paris, or Rome, or wherever. I would go there, at the drop of a hat. I would have one of those black AmEx Centurion cards and one of those black MarquisJet cards. Let the lawyers and financials wizards do their thing, and check i

Dream Team 06/01/21 - 06/30/21
You people ever have weird fantasies? When I was young it was usually sports related me in the NBA or mlb making the winning shot or hit. Now it's literally just thinking about not going to work ever again. Getting to sit home worry free of financials and doing whatever I want all day. That's all I want. I hate work. I hate people. I just want to be completely free from any stress and do not want to be around other people against my will. That's why I dream of every night

Would you allow family & friends to tell you how to invest your lottery winnings?
I concur. listening to them does not in anyway obligate you to heed such. Ironically many here enjoy promoting their way of investing should be held by others. after all , they are brilliant and doing so well. its bad enough that our govt snopes into our financials. ultimately the decision is up to the winner of such fortune. I cringe at investing in stocks. Making a ceo richer?? yeah... not gonna happen ...

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
Probably in the next batch of ending games in August. I was looking at their financials, and the first thing that stood out was the substantial increase in Scratcher play over the last several years after AB 142 was passed in 2010. Lotto games, even with the addition of Powerball last year, was pretty flat for the last 10 years, and in some years took a dip. AB 142
