Connecticut Powerball mystery deepens
Pardon, Here in America when the title is President and CEO/CFO, they pretty much run the business and its FINANCIALS. IT has ZERO to do with the policy of management for its accounts. If you care to disprove such then follow thru with evidence , please do so, otherwise recheck the facts jack. ANd to the folks here who are natural skeptics on these guys, what does it really matter to YOU?? Its clearly not your money and not your real business to know if they are fronting . I still beleiv

We Are Living Vicariously Through Lottery Winners By Playing The Lottery?
I think everyone who plays has at least thought for a second about if they won. Otherwise, why play in the first place. Whether they think about it only once for a few seconds or almost constantly, lottery players have imagined what it would be like to win or pictured themselves winning. And so of course I do. I love to picture myself in a nice big house not having to worry about anything and I love imagining the things I would do in that free time with financials to do many things I've alway

$242 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot continues to climb
No problem. The YouTube channel for the uploader say's it's Missouri Lottery on YouTube so it seems to be someone with the lottery there. The other guy there is an official with the lottery I believe. I like how you get to see the reactions from other people and the winner when learning he won, progressing from confusion to excitement and shock. He went on the CBS Early Show after that but since then haven't heard anything from him. He talked about getting someone to help with financials s

Does A Lottery Winner Really Need A Financial Expert?
You can usually find a good accountant at reputable law firms. One of the firms I found here has a guy that not only is a CPA but he also deals with setting up trusts, so ideally I could either use his other services or ask him if he could recommend any other good CPAs in the area. Also my aunt is an excellent CPA in Chicago so I could always ask for her help (wouldn't mind if she knew I won since she's already very well off). It would be my last choice, since I would want my financials and f

We've all got "gonnas" if we hit a jackpot, how about the "never agains"
Thanks lottocalgal, and I hear you on the financials. My last ppst in the Army was Monterey, Ft. Ord. I remember going to work with less than a dollar and being in a grocery store one night to get a literl of UP, which costs 17 cents at the time, and I also needed a colored markert but it was too close to payday to get both. Pitiful. But I do miss those summers in Monterey!

Lottery win opens doors for N.Y. doorman
You can't claim any lottery prize anonymously in Florida. I know a lot of people here talk about Trusts, but they can cost more than they're worth. Usually a trust is created to protect your beneficiaries if you die, pay for final expenses, etc. I suppose a good lawyer could find ways to hide money from creditors should you ever get into trouble or be sued, but usually that's for people who use their wealth for business purposes, not personal fun. (We're always hearing about civil suits against

Record Powerball lottery jackpot claimed by 8 meat plant workers
I'd certainly advise clients not to say anything about the sharing agreement without getting legal approval first and the lawyer commenting on it is really foolish. I Agree! I credit them for grabbing the loot as soon as it was grabbable. But they have no idea of how the taxes are going to adjusted. Keep you mouth shut on the financials. Smile, like a dufus, joke with the camera man, but don't talk to any one about money. Let the team do that. In this case, get a new lawyer! This one

Listen up Jabronis
Your right. I hated that nail sticking through her tongue. Why do the younger generation like body piercing? I just don't get it. Anyone who is stupid enough to put holes into their bodies (besides ear rings), will be the future homeless and prison populations. I'm willing to bet 135,000,000 to 1 odds she will be on the news in the next year. She will be broke, dead, or in the process of losing it all. Oh well. I guess if I ever win The Big One, I'll split the money with ex-CEOs like Enron and W

Store clerks seen on camera stealing lottery tickets
Often it's players who get ripped off, not the store. The owner is lucky he didn't lose more. Regardless, lottery retailers and their employees shouldn't be permitted to buy / play lottery tickets at their own location(s). That would eliminate much abuse, and better protect players. Not holding my breath for that to happen, since it's more profitable the way it is for lotteries. Hopefully, the $2500 Cash4Life winner was just luck and not stolen from a player. Glad to read they're investigatin

Record Powerball jackpot won by 1 ticket
How much do we knw about the Multi-State Lottery System ( MUSL ) ? I do not see any audited financials linked to there Website. Does an annuity winner have any input into the securities purchased? I have no reason to doubt their honesty and ability to meet their obligations. A few names to consider Bernie Madoff, Enron, Lehman Brothers, and World Com. One thing for sure the states are not going to make up for any shortfall in order to pay a millionaire!!!
