Nevada Lottery Proposal Killed
Nevada may be a gambling state but a Senate panel decided on a 5-2 vote Thursday that a lottery is one game of chance the state can do without.Sens. Steven Horsford, D-North Las Vegas, and Valerie Wiener, D-Las Vegas, cast the only yes votes as the proposed constitutional amendment for a lottery to fund education was rejected by the Senate Judiciary Committee.AJR2 would have had to pass this session and again in 2007 before going to a vote of the public in 2008. I've only been here seven weeks

Alabama lawmaker tries again with new lottery proposal
Includes video report An Alabama lawmaker says he plans to propose an amendment to the state's constitution to put an education lottery on the ballot for citizens to vote on in November. The proposal by Rep. Steve Clouse, R-Dothan, gives half of the proceeds to Alabama's First Class Pre-K program. The other half would fund some college need-based scholarships. Proposal: New Component for Lottery Report Card
I would be interested to know what ball-drawn games do not give you the opportunity to watch the drawings, either on TV or online. I would think that those games should be given a failing grade as well because there is no evidence that the drawings are actually done. Any thoughts on this? Anyone know of any games not televised (TV or net)?

My thoughts on the 'Blue Game' proposal
I wouldn't mind paying $2 per ticket (which I already do in MA Ca$h WinFall) since there would be a 2+0 prize, and the jackpot potential would be huge. The one thing I'm wondering about is the $1 million annuitized second prize-would it be a flat 500k (cash option winners would be cheated ) or fluctuate according to interest rates?
