Lottery fight brewing in Massachusetts
What if there is actual video surveillance that shows the guy who bought the $600 worth of tickets, scratching them and then tossing a bunch of them in the trash and leaving. Then two minutes later, the tape would show this other guy going through the trash and retrieving the tickets.I know that tickets are a bearer instrument and in my opinion the 82-year-old man should get to keep ALL of the $1 million. But, the way court systems are these days and who knows what kind of jury can be selected

OT: but important, $5 VA scratcher flawed
If you look on any scratch ticket you can see letter codes. If there is a P, B, or D on the card it's likely not a winner. These cards have those letters on them. I haven't gotten the cards scanned yet. Unless VA is getting smart and trying to fool people who just scratch the card for the symbol, then some idiot made this card up who didn't know how to play poker. Also if your card is say a 10 dollar winner, you can find a T an E and an N on the card. Same goes for any amount you win, there is a

Reading scratch-off tickets - codes / barcodes
In PA, there are numerical codes only, but it's not clear what they mean, if anything. All scratch offs contain a QR code that can be scanned at digital lottery machines to either check or redeem, scanned via the PA Lottery app, or the small ticket checker at the counters of lottery retailers. These codes can tell whether a ticket is a winner. It is my firm belief that since if the code is damaged, it asks for the game number, the book number, and the ticket number that they essentially know

North Carolina: 10/1 - 10/31/2016
Green ball foolishness sounds 100% correct. Nc Lottery is totally rigggggggggggeeeeeeeeeedddddddddddd The proof is in the pudding with the numbers that come out. I advise all of you to go look at the statistics as evidence. What Nc does is set it up to where it s not completely obvious but if you do research you will notice. Example 1 - the lead off number 1,2,3,4 vs 6,7,8,9. Now statistically the odds of getting a 1,2,3 or 4 as the lead off number is 40% and getting 6,7,8 or 9 is also 40%

Frequent lottery wins by retailers investigated
The video report didn't indicate whether these winning tickets were scratch-offs or terminal print outs or both. It would be hard to scam a terminal game with a independent draw except where they dupe the playing public by telling them they lost on a winning ticket and then keeping it to cash in. I've heard of retailers scanning the bar codes of scratch-off tickets and pulling out the winners and cashing them in then putting the no prize or low value prize tickets back out to be sold to the publ

North Carolina Scratchers are worthless. If I found a penny laying on the street it would have more value than any nc scratch off.... I agree nc does needs codes like va.... when I drive to va to get my mega million tickets I always buy scratch off's there... nc needs more games like pick 3 and pick 4....

More than $240 million unclaimed by lottery winners
they want people to have accounts for direct deposit..... What about SCRATCH-OFFS????? Those are probably a lot of the unclaimed money when people rush through and toss away winning scratch-offs. That's why some States have sight codes. Another is people buy them and forget they have them (happened to me once on a 5/5 I found 2 weeks later on a routine check). But really, President W. BUSH doesn't care about listening to you on the phone unless you happen to be calling to chat with loonie-bin ov

Jackpot code on scratch tickets
I could use one of those L I F coded tickets, but that's another story. People who are buying scratch-offs, looking at codes, then tossing them are usually addict gamblers. Perhaps they should be cut-off like we do for alcohol. But at the same time, I don't believe you can save a person from themself. Do you ever tell those people to scratch the whole ticket? If not, set up a basket or box on the counter for dead tickets. One day at a store in Maryland that sells Keno, I decided to use

Are instant games trustworthy to play?
In order to pre scan in Tennessee you have to scratch off the 3 digit code at the bottom of the ticket, easy enough to spot for people who play regularly but for those who don't could be a problem, There was a store here that I used to buy scratch off tickets from, one morning I bought 2 ten dollar tickets and the codes were showing at the bottom I watched the clerk take them from the roll and tear them off, meaning they wre not loose tickets, I gave them back to here and told her what this mea

Lottery Post member turns up the heat on the Hoosier Lottery
Every State Representives territory is broken down by population ect, and what I would like to see by each district is, the names addresses and zip code of each vendor that sells lottery and scratch off tickets. The winners zip codes. Most who win big don't want their names published. Okay lets get their zip code before they move to that big new house and compare the information with the vendors. Do all these winners live in the district that the tickets where purchased from? If I knew wher
