It's hard to reach a realistic conclusion when you're starting with faulty factual information. Over the past two years the MM jackpot has been higher than $100 million 11 times. 5 times the jackpot has been won before reaching $200 million. Of those 5 times, one was $196 million and the other 4 were $135 million or less. That's well short of always going to at least $200 million. Playing same ticket multiple times for the same draw
I've been playing the same numbers five times ($15 each time) for both powerball and megamllions. The idea is to win the second prize multiple times. It's a strategy that I think is a lot of people use. Unfortunately, I've yet to see any winners. Maybe that one time someone won three tickets for second prize of powerball a while back. I've always played pick-3 straight combo multiple times on separate tickets even though a store owner once put them all on one ticket and assured me I would not have to pay tax if I won. Didn't want to find out the hard way so I declined to buy that ticket. He mumbled something about wasting paper which was probably the real reason it put them all on one ticket.
