Lottery scandal unlikely to affect New Mexico, official says
The expanding investigation of a former security chief for the national association that operates Powerball, Mega Millions, Hot Lotto and other lotteries is unlikely to affect New Mexico at this point, state lottery CEO David Barden said this week.

Maine gives names of Hot Lotto winners to Iowa team looking into rigging scheme

Florida man wins $10M lotto jackpot with fortune cookie numbers
A Florida man who won a $10 million lottery jackpot claims the lucky numbers came from a fortune cookie.
Richard Davis, 66, of Boca Raton, said he only occasionally plays the lottery, using the same five sets of numbers one for each time he visited the eatery that came from fortune cookies he received from a North Carolina restaurant, he told the Florida Lottery.

Generous winner remains anonymous
Paying it forward is the plan for a loyal Michigan Lottery player from Otsego County who won a $13.1 million Lotto 47 jackpot.
The man, who chose to remain anonymous, matched the numbers drawn in Wednesday night's Lotto 47 drawing 1, 6, 25, 32, 34, and 41 to win the $13.1 million jackpot. The prize is the fourth largest Lotto 47 jackpot ever won.
