Freedom to play Powerball is restored.

The Idaho Lottery today announced that Powerball, Idaho's longest running and most popular lottery game, will continue to be offered in the state.

Idaho Lottery says it's working with Legislature on 'alternative path forward' for Powerball
The Idaho Lottery took to Facebook Wednesday after lawmakers killed legislation that would have allowed Powerball to be played in the state.

Idaho ends Powerball in state, fearing foreign participation
Idaho lawmakers fearing foreign participation in the Powerball lottery killed legislation on Wednesday that would have allowed the game with huge jackpots to continue in the state after a run of more than 30 years.
The move came after Idaho Lottery officials sought a change in state law because Powerball is expanding to include Australia in 2021 and Britain in 2022. But current Idaho law only allows lotteries in the state played by people in the U.S. and Canada.

An Australian woman who bought a handful of scratch-off lottery tickets to put in her Christmas cards said she ended up with one ticket left over and it won more than $7,000.

Australian family's lottery numbers pay off after 20 years
An Australian family who collected a nearly $610,000 (US$383,000) lottery jackpot said they have been using the same numbers for nearly 20 years.
The family, from Peel, Western Australia, told Lotterywest officials the ticket they purchased for the April 11 Saturday Lotto drawing at The Lucky Charm Pinjarra bore the same numbers they have been using to play the lottery for two decades.
