Starting Monday, Sept. 14, 2020, the New Jersey Lottery will begin allowing players to file some claims in-person at Lottery headquarters in Lawrence by appointment only.

SC Lottery claim center closed after exposure to COVID-19

The South Carolina Education Lottery's Columbia claim center on Assembly Street closed yesterday, Wed., Sept. 2 after an employee was exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19.
The building was closed for cleaning and disinfection that afternoon when staff was notified of the exposure. According to a press release, the employee who came into contact with the coronavirus only worked in the back office and did not interact with the public. The other staff members w

Illinois Lottery reopens 4 of 5 claim centers by appointment only
Des Plaines, Fairview Heights, Rockford, and Springfield to reopen

The Illinois Lottery today announced that it will reopen four of its five Lottery Claim Centers by appointment only, starting July 27.
The new appointment-only system for Illinois Lottery Claim Centers will help protect the health and safety of Lottery players and staff, while managing the volume of players visiting each center by strictly adhering to social distancing and the building capacity guideline

Arkansas Lottery claim center closed after possible exposure to COVID-19
Players must temporarily mail prize claims greater than $500

The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery took immediate action today after a possible exposure to COVID-19 at their facilities. As of July 6, 2020, the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery has temporarily closed its claim center at 124 West Capitol Avenue in Little Rock to rectify the situation.
It is unclear how transmission of the virus may have occurred or who was potentially exposed.

Illinois lottery players will find it easier to claim winnings in person now that four out of five of the state's claim centers are open.

Massachusetts lottery offices reopen for prizes of $5,000 or more

As of Wednesday, June 24, Massachusetts lottery offices are now open for large prize claims of $5,000 or more with some restrictions in place depending on the office location.

Texas Lottery to reopen claims centers June 1
Claims initially to be processed by appointment only
The Texas Lottery Commission plans to reopen all 16 claim centers around the state on Monday, June 1, 2020. Claims will be processed by appointment only and recommended safety and cleaning guidelines will be followed.

California lottery closes office after Sacramento employee tests positive for coronavirus
The California Lottery has closed its Sacramento office to employees after one of them tested positive for the coronavirus, according to a staff email the lottery sent on Friday night.
The email said an employee of the district was tested earlier this month and received a positive test result for COVID-19 on Friday.
The employee has not been to the Sacramento district office since the first week of March, according to the email.
