Konane,  I read that David Copperfield, as a "magic trick" determined the winning lottery numbers one YEAR in advance, sealed them in an envelope, had them placed in a locked vault, and they were opened and read AFTER the lottery was drawn.  He accurately got all 6 numbers.  The interview I read with him said that it took him like 6 hours or more if I recall correctly to retrieve those numbers.  There was speculation that he is not a magician at all, but a very very good psychic.  Someone asked him why didn't he play the numbers.  He said if he'd played them, they would not have been correct!!!  Explain THAT!

His belief was the only thing ... you have to both intend to be accurate, intend to follow through with actually playing, and intend to win while believing you can do just that.

Good luck to everyone!

Konane, Good point on "his" belief.  Do you think he's psychic or magician?  Both?  And do you think WE are as well?????!

    Too deep?  :)

Read recently what separates psychic from intuitive is that an intuitive controls what they see by meditating or intending to see something specific which is for the most part a controlled action.  A psychic has spontaneous "visions" over which they seem to be able to exert little or no control.

Think we're intuitives rather than psychics because what we see is reasonably under our control or intent to see.  Also we're able to change gears to manifest various things in our lives.  May or may not be correct but that sums it up as far as I see.  Welcome any comment.

Found I could edit to answer your question below about Copperfield.  Psychic likely who has learned how to do magic.

      Good luck to everyone!

I understand about intuitive and psychic, and I have flashes of both, for sure.  But, about Copperfield and his lottery stuff ..... psychic or magician?

            Lottomike:

I get them too.  Probably everyone does.  The problem for me is knowing whether the numbers came out of next week, this draw, or 10 draws ago.  When I don't buy tickets on the numbers I 'get in my head' I almost always wish I had.  But when I do, I frequently would prefer that I hadn't.

I think part of the problem is the nature of the illusion of time.  Our perceptions are anchored to sequence, to dates, to clocks, to calendars.  If we want the numbers from the draw on the 26th, we are repudiating the acknowledgement that time's an illusion, reinforcing our anchors to it.

RV hotshots such as Bevy Jaegger and Ed Dane went through a lot of years of training and experience to overcome the difficulties of all that.  Evidently, both were successful in predicting lottery numbers enough to impress the rest of us.

But for me, getting past the time barrier is a major problem.

                LuckyFoxTerrier:

You asked the lady of a certain age about the number 7.  I'm looking forward with you to her reply, concerning her own lottery.  I'm really interested in knowing whether these traits spill over to all lotteries, or whether they're specific to certain ones and change for others.

Here's who the number 7 ran in herd with from the last draw of 2003 until now on PB.  I don't know how that would compare to other lotteries.  Each occurance of the number 7, along with the draw that preceded it and the draw that followed it, so's to communicate that when I say, 'ran in herd', I'm not just referring to the single drawing where it pops.

Some of the other numbers are even more consistent.  Others are less so.  Other numbers don't seem to prefer any company at all, over just anyone, like some lonesome honkytonk angel.

But on PB, for instance, some numbers just demand attention in other ways.  If the drawing is on the 9th, 10th or 11th of the month on PB, a person would be doing himself a disservice not to have the number 10 on a ticket.  That sort of thing.

I only play 6 number games, LottoMike.  But I'd be interested in hearing how you've done.  What's the most you've ever won in a pick 3, 4, or 5 drawing?

That $5000 certainly beats anything I've ever managed on 6 balls.  I play 10 tickets plus the multiplier every draw.... I'm a bit short of even, depending on what happens tonight.  If I was 5K ahead I'd be tempted to double my number of tickets every draw, thinks I.

Congratulations, belated though it is, on the $5K.

Guess we've all just got to do what works for us.  Back before the incident I described at the beginning of this thread I used to play QPs occasionally, and several years ago used to buy a ticket with the same number on it whenever I thought about it and the mood struck.  I rarely hit a single number either way.

For a while I tried dowsing the numbers when they first began PB in New Mexico in the 90s.  I could get one or two numbers, but never more.

Glad whatever you're doing works for you.
