Todd

I don't see the gifs onthe following page

http://www.lotterypost.com/thread/137351/5

I cleared cache in both explorer and firefox.

I see there had been a problem before. Is it still a site problem or should I look at my end?

    mrcliffy,

Whenever I first log on to Lottery Post and go directly to LottoVantage's, (my) blog, the posted images are missing and unviewable. If I then go to Forums, Pick 5 Specific Lottery Games, Ohio Pick 5 Number Strategy, I can then view the images posted there, (on page 5), and everything is normal.

Following this procedure, if I then return to LottoVantages, (my) blog, then the posted images there are viewable!

You can follow this procedure and see if it works for you as it does for me. I have PM'd Todd to see if this anomaly can be corrected, and I'm sure as soon as he finds the time, he will engineer a fix for it.

    Best to you,

    LottoVantage

LottoVantage did not insert the images correctly, which is why you can't see them.  I have sent him a PM explaining what he is doing wrong.

Delores, I first wanted to let you know that my glasses are on, so feel free to type in a normal size! Wink

There was indeed an error that people saw this morning when viewing the forums between about 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM.  However, there was no data or text lost during that time.

If you're having problems using the editor, please see the Help forum, including the FAQ topic there, as it contains many things to check for common problems.  Of primary importance is that you need to use a recent web browser version in order to use Lottery Post.  For example, if you're using Internet Explorer version 4.0 or 5.0, you need to upgrade.

If all else fails, then go to the Board Options in the Control Panel menu, and turn off the rich text editor.  Then you will be using the "simple codes" editor, which is not nearly as good as the rich text editor, but at least you'll be able to post messages.

I understand that it can be comfortable to read larger text sizes for some people.  The thing is that on the Internet, big, bold, or upper-case text means you're saying something with extra emphasis, or SHOUTING.

You might want to check out the comic sans font, which can be a good middle-ground between readable text, without appearing to shout.

                Hi Todd,

Maybe I'm wrong but I've noticed that you've done away with the pull down menu, if someone wants to jump to a page within a posting. Now I have to exit the thread and go to the subject and jump there.

                Thanx.

No, the pull-down menu is still there.  It's the same problem you've had before.  You have some kind of software that is blocking all the extra support files that need to load, like stylesheets, javascript files, etc.  It's the same thing that makes your front page look like one long list of text.

I'm not sure if you are installing something periodically or what, but this seems to happen on your PC fairly frequently.  Any idea what you're installing or doing that keeps blocking files?

How about this: choose one of the arrows on the home page right now, and click it.  When you get to whatever page, copy the URL and paste it back here in this thread.  Let me know what the page says.

The last thing I've installed was that new microsoft thingy you provided for us to download.

Is the pull down menu in the same place as it was before, at the bottom of the last person who replied to a post? The only thing I have is two arrows pointing left and right.
