I think I will go to the public library and get a copy.  If I don't like the book then no harm done, I would have just gained a few brain cells.

Pac, I think treating people kindly is different than kissing up to a customer to get a good tip.  That's not Karma.  When you give love to people, it is from the heart and altruistic, not for profit.

Okay - let's look at your current appliance problem in a spiritual light.

Washing machine won't work  ----  means you are very agitating or you are going through a cycle.

Clothes dryer is out of order  -----    means you are full of hot air or you need a shrink.

Garbage disposal not functioning  ----  no explanation required.

I don't know why, but every time I see this topic I think of Garry Moore.

            Washing machine works fine.

            Garbage disposal? I'm not constipated...LOL

I think Iam treating people nicely when I kiss their butt. If they only knew how I felt when they ask me really dumb questions. When someone gets in the vehicle from just getting off of a plane and says to me..."Has it been raining here?" I always get the urge to say.."No...there's a madman in a water truck spraying water all over the place, I mean for miles and miles. After a 57 hour chase, the cops finally stopped him". I mean give me a break....LOL

They should feel grateful I put up with that nonsense.

Now...when I get people from my hometown N.Y., they don't pull that kind of stuff. They talk about real issues, or say nothing at all, and the best part is they always give great tips.

"How much do I owe yous? I says to him..a buck two ninety eight and tree cents...  Badda bing badda boom..here ya go..have a good day. Then Tony bag-a doughnuts walks away, and I'm a happy sap.

The book is OK to have if you're on a travel and can't have the DVD with you.

Instead of the book version of "The Secret", I'll recommend buying the book "Law of Attraction" by Michael J. Losier.

I have a lot of books and DVDs on the law of attraction, and they have seemed to help. I got both the DVD and the book, although I found the DVD to be overpriced. I think "What the bleep do we know?!" is a better deal and a lot longer and more in depth. I also enjoyed "The intention experiment: using your thought to change your life and world" It is actually scientifically proven material. I have about 20 books on the subject, and most seem to teach the same concepts with sleight variations.

I believe in "just do it", even with a little procrastination it'll work.

I've just learned recently that "The Secret" is unfair to the laws of physics. Opposites attract. You have the polarized points. Northern and southern hemispheres.  All opposing!

Since most of the universe is made of an unknown matter called "Dark Matter', scientists can only speculate whether the vacuum in space acts as the negative.....abscence of pressure. 15 psi being forced out of the body.

So....humans can live their lives through the positive aspect part, and the side with the polarized state interacting, living up to it's part respectively to each other.

I know this to be true. People I've met who have similar interests seem promising, yet they're just a wolf in disguise.

Opposites attract, not the same kind.

Think about this- certainly there are many people who have read The Secret trying to use 'the secret' to win a jackpot.

If the 'universe' (from the book) granted them all their wish it would be like the scene in Bruce Almighty where people were yelling, "The lottery sux, I won $17" (jackpot).

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

                              Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.
