The logic used in metaphysics that positive attracts positive is not wrong (or ilogical).

You wouldn't say thinking positive attracts a negative results would you? Usually it would attract (or create) a positive result.

I beg to differ. Positive does attract negative. It's 5th grade science.

Now you are ilogical. Metaphysics is not scientific physics.

So you would say thinking positive will give me a negative result? LOL.

Those with only scientific minds are too confused to apply the applications of the secret. We are not talking about two batteries here, we are talking about manifesting what your thoughts predominantly are, and attracting more of the same. However scientifically speaking, fire and water are opposites.

So if you throw a match into a lake, will the whole lake then become fire? No, nor would the opposite work. What you think, and what you feel; you attract more of the same. Not the opposite. Unfortunately this is not something you learn in school, only a select few will go beyond those limitations. The uneducated will scoff as they are too ignorant to understand it, whereas the wise and educated will continue to apply the secret to change their lives.

Positive does not "attract" negative, although certain scientific "physical" entities can become attracted to one another upon meeting. But we are not talking about that here, it is a little more advanced than 5th grade, or even college.

I have just started reading about "The Secret" and the Law of Attraction. Believe it or not, when you really think about it, it makes sense. Did you ever think about someone, and then they call, or try to remember a name of a random movie, and within days, it's on TV? Well those are small examples of the LOA. At first, I was a skeptic, but I began noticing things here and there that I would have otherwise have dismissed as coincidence, but it's been happening more and more. I am still trying to understand it completely, but rest assured, I will use it to try to win the lottery. Actually, the last Mega Millions winner from CA was this lady who spoke about the LOA at her press conference. She said this time, she knew it would finally manifest, so if you asked her, she would tell you it works!

"If you just keep believing, that dream that you wish will come true"

Since the book came out and people have jumped on the LOA concept, how about all the millions of others who are trying to manifest the jackpot win that this lady did?

In the long run, Secret or no Secret, LOA or no LOA, it still comes down to luck.

If it did work, those who could tap into it would just instinctively know it and not need to read about it in someone else's book.

                    Wink

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

                    Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

                      I Agree!

There are many many persons who were positive and got dealt a bad hand.

I just find it curious how all the panel members are authors about the subject.

Countless people are suffering, and it's neither their will or anything close. They have just as much conviction to survive as anyone else.

I wonder how many people in those twin towers had a positive conviction towards life and lost it? How does one explain this?

I know it's true that positive thinking is the way to go. I'm a firm believer in this. However, I believe it's not the sole reason for why things happen the way they do.

You can be positive all you want, but if a meteorite is gonna crash into your living room......you have no choice.

The author of the book "The Secret", Rhonda Byrne once told about someone who she knew that used the LOA to win 10 million dollars (australian dollars probably), but was pissed because she really intended to win 100 million.

LOL.  A good story if nothing else.

Anytime you have to pay for something, it's no secret... It's a scam.

The first 20 minutes of the DVD were posted on Youtube. What I got from it was that VISUALIZATION is the key. You have to believe that what you desire already has happened...

So of course I put this to the test... I want to win the Powerball, I only play ONE ticket... so my "visualization" was to download a copy of the powerball numbers page and start tweakin' the HTML...

I advanced the date, entered MY line, reset the JP to $15 Million and even changed the scrolling marquee to read "There was one winner from the state of Pennsylvania for" blah blah blah...

It looks as genuine as it gets, pure visualization!

                          Didn't work

Tried it for at least a month.

I still keep up with it because it looks cool, but the "Law of Attraction"? I don't buy it.

I do have evidence of the contrary however...

My Job! I hate it with a passion... but I am good at it. I work in a machine shop... for 3 years my salary has gone up $1 each year (avg. raise is 50 cents) and I got promoted from a machine operator to a setup specialist. I want to get out of there, but everything that happens to me there ensures I stay stuck there.

Maybe if I figure out a way to truly despise the thought of winning millions... then I'll have it!

Thet's the REAL secret, and it didn't cost you a dime ;-)

Playing more than one ticket per game is betting against yourself.

Well you see Coin Toss, it's not about desire, it's about belief. It's one thing to want something on the outside, but what makes something happen is the belief you hold deep down as to whether or not it will actually happen. She said in her press conference that "she knew this time," so that's what the difference is. And it is not enough to say "I know I'll win" if you don't really believe it, and only you know whether you really believe you will or not. You have to seperate really WANTING to win from really BELIEVING it will happen, then you will find your answer as to why so many lottery hopefuls have not yet one.
