Anytime you have to pay for something, it's no secret... It's a scam.

The first 20 minutes of the DVD were posted on Youtube. What I got from it was that VISUALIZATION is the key. You have to believe that what you desire already has happened...

So of course I put this to the test... I want to win the Powerball, I only play ONE ticket... so my "visualization" was to download a copy of the powerball numbers page and start tweakin' the HTML...

I advanced the date, entered MY line, reset the JP to $15 Million and even changed the scrolling marquee to read "There was one winner from the state of Pennsylvania for" blah blah blah...

It looks as genuine as it gets, pure visualization!

Didn't work

Tried it for at least a month.

I still keep up with it because it looks cool, but the "Law of Attraction"? I don't buy it.

I do have evidence of the contrary however...

My Job! I hate it with a passion... but I am good at it. I work in a machine shop... for 3 years my salary has gone up $1 each year (avg. raise is 50 cents) and I got promoted from a machine operator to a setup specialist. I want to get out of there, but everything that happens to me there ensures I stay stuck there.

Maybe if I figure out a way to truly despise the thought of winning millions... then I'll have it!

Thet's the REAL secret, and it didn't cost you a dime ;-)

The Law of Attraction would say that although you are outwardly seeming to focus on winning, deep down you are focusing on the opposite, hating your job, thinking the LOA isn't true, etc. So basically, it would say that you are only attracting more of the same.

"If you just keep believing, that dream that you wish will come true"

The power of intention is the power of love and receptivity.  It asks nothing of anyone, it judges no one, and it encourages others to be free to be themselves.                                      w.dyer

love to nibble those micey feet.

"Well you see Coin Toss, it's not about desire, it's about belief."

Read Robert Collier. He says the people that do infact manifest their desires do so because of desire, but not "I'd like to have this or that desire", but desire the way a drowning person would desire oxygen.

Collier is one of but many authors that were way, way before The Secret.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

Collier's book is titled The secret of the Ages (sound familiar? except you see, his is circa 1926 or so).

Here's a couple of reviews on amazon:

The Secret of the Ages is the Law of Attraction. Many of the other writers in this category actually quote this author, and refer to this book, which is partly how I discovered it.

        ________

After reading the book entitled "The Secret", I decided I wanted to check out one of the authors listed throughout the book. I thought it was amazing that this "new wave " of thinking was actually being practiced many years ago.

A series of books to give inspiration and opportunity to those middle class persons who are not poor enough for charity, nor rich enough to afford things themselves. The author intended to inspire, the kind of inspiration that makes a man go out and create his own opportunity. Yours is the world and everything in it! (Paperback edition)

A couple of years back, I downloaded it for free on PDF file. I think I  deleted it a few weeks later.

I don't know if it was the whole thing, but what I had was a lot of reading, so maybe it was half of it or something.

My Job! I hate it with a passion... but I am good at it.

Bravo, hypersoniq!  I had a decent job with a steady income.  I practically begged to get it too. The working conditions became difficult and almost unbearable, but the pay was steady and the hours were good.  I hated every day I had to walk into the place, but I was good at it and it paid the bills. As an adult, I accept personal blame, but I took the advice & encouragement of others who threw words at me like "you deserve more" and "you can do better somewhere else" and I made a very bad decision.  As a result, the past 2 years have been a real struggle for me.  It's very easy for other people to look through their rose colored glasses and preach "Just Do It!"

Yes, I believe we attract others with our kindness, our smiles, our positive attitudes and personal lifestyles.  I mean, if you don't like fishing, you don't go out with people who fish.  If you don't drink or smoke, you probably won't enjoy hanging around a bar.  So people of like minds find each other.  A Black or a Jew won't find her soulmate at a KKK rally.

What are you talking about? Sammy Davis Jr. was a black jew, and was the head of the KKK for 2 years back in 1967.

Actually, Sammy Davis Jr was Cuban.  His father was an African-American.  He converted to Judaism after losing his eye in an automobile accident.  I think he was very talented.  Imagine what kind of a dancer he would have been had he not lost his eye.  Still, he went on to be a very popular singer and actor.  Too bad he smoked and died of throat cancer.  We all die, but why hasten it, especially when you've got so much to live for?

BTW - I know you were joking, Pac, since you're a nut.  But I bet there are some people who might actually think what you wrote is true.
