Things have cooled off here again. Thought I'd check in, but I won't be here as much when there's little to report. I did get a $20 Electric 8s win today (ticket #114,) but that's been the best lately. One game that seems to not be so good anymore is Lucky Cherry Slots - 4 of them in a row (#10-13) lost. I'm also not a fan of Cash Up. Guess I'll keep spending less and hope for another good day.

That's my feeling. Less is more. Plus if you only buy a handful, you aren't stressing over $100 worth of tickets and hoping to get $60 back..  I think the next time I get $300 worth, I will goto the casino and do alittle testing to see if I beat my $124 that I got on a roll.  Also I am finding alot of retailers NOT carrying 20X. If they released alot of newer prizes, I want to find some of the new packs to hope they are hot.

    Hi Omiller,

I'm from westmoreland county here in PA..about 30 miles south of Pittsburgh..Punished myself with a couple tickets yesterday to win NOTHING again..Haven't even heard of anyone winning anything to brag about here..Everyone is saying the same thing anymore..Don't waste your money on the scratchers anymore..

I'm usually a pretty positive person, and try to think positive..but reality has to kick in here soon..I have lost more money in the past month on scratchers than I have in 2 years of playing.

I don't know what the lottery did, but whatever it is they better change it because the tickets aren't moving like they used to here..Now you do feel like you are chasing a win, or throwing your money down the tubes.

I hear you Matt..I did several of the $3 cash up..to win nothing..they are so predictable anymore..

When you look at the pa lottery website..funny how they have such old tickets with still 1 or 2 big winners left..but nowhere around here sales them..

They probably only print 1 on or two of the big winners at first..to get everyone excited about playing..then they probably never print the rest of the big ones for years..some of those games on their site have been around for years..

Well good luck today all...I'll buy 1 ticket later and that is it.......

One problem in PA is that you used to have a reasonable chance of winning on a $5 and over ticket if you bought 4 of them - but that's not the case anymore. Probably best to stick to no more than 1 $20 ticket at a time, no more than 2 of the $10, $5, and $3 tickets, no more than 5 $2 tickets, and no more than 10 $1 tickets. I noticed what omiller did on Cash Up - how can every tripler game have 2 out of 3 numbers? I'm pretty sure the machine is programmed to do that.

      Good luck today, all.

I agree matt..2 of the three Cash  Up tickets..only needed one more number in the 2x and 3x..and you just knew you weren't going to get them..the same with the bingo's..they are too predictable like omiller said..It's almost like you can tell right away when you are going to win or not..

Maybe because we do too many tickets we see the patterns..like on the tickets that need numbers..if you see you need a 4..then the number you get is 14..or 1 and 11..8 or 18..etc..

I used to get excited when I would see a symbol..but not anymore..

I'm hoping that all this complaining will get us a big winner and we can recant all the negative things...about the Lottery...LOL>..

Maybe all the lossers are getting us prepared for the big win..to appreciate it more...LOL..

Lets Hope for all of us...then all this disappointment will be worth it...

For now..just 1 ticket at a time...if it is meant to be then it will be meant to be.

Lets hope I can stick to that...

Exactly right Matt. It used to be that buying $5 tickets would give you a $20 win and in better times, $100's

weren't hard to come by. I haven't seen more than $10 Monopoly wins, the best at 20x the Money has

been $25, Winner Take All has been pitiful..missing the take all number by one but then finding a match in

the play field for $5 is a wet blanket. The $10's and $20's are no thrill either...instead of $100's, there now

is a bounty of $50's and $20's - if you win 2 or more times, it turns out to be $5 or $10 under multiple #'s.

If I had to offer advice to the general ticket player...the one who buys a few here and there...it would be

to play the $2 tickets....Electric 8's, 7 Ups (I do not have a high opinion of these but if a win is what any-

one is looking for..then maybe getting the original $2 back is good enough....if lucky to find a green 7, then

the $1 multiplied gives $7 and that's a lot more than most $5 tickets give right now..$0.00) and then the

Whole Lotta $100's....the FREE tickets are a PITA but if wins alone are what people are searching for and

not the BIG WIN, then maybe a few FREE's are enough to keep the spirit going. We are all looking for the

big win but when the average player keeps coming up empty on the high cost tickets, it's time to go way

          down....to $2's and $1's here and there.

I am in a position to know - I am not the average player. I don't say that to boast, I say it because it's a

fact. I've seen pitiful things happening with these new tickets. The best prizes are the ticket cost, 2x the

ticket cost and at the very best 5 or 10 times the ticket cost...but that best is only a $5 or $10 prize multi-

          plied.

The $3 tickets I do not like although have tried the new Cash Up's.....the highest win so far was $9.00

          followed by 2 $3 wins.

PA sure did change a lot it seems. They will have to change a few things again when they notice a lag

in ticket sales because the players get fed up and quit. Look at the feelings here...some are saying

they are giving it a break.

Agreed with both of you, dr and allowselftowin.

Sometimes if I'm discouraged, I get 10 $2 tickets, and I usually can find a win without spending a lot. The $5 tickets can go 10 without a win and you'd be out more money.

I agree with everyone and I am officially done for awhile. Yesterday I took my $55 with the plan of 1 Million Dollar Platinum(if it was 018, since I had 016/017 last week), a Pure Gold and 5 20X. Well I scratched the 20X last night and hit $15 and played that today. While I was there yesterday the store owner and I were talking about odds and he ripped Money Money Money and Big Win Spectacular off to check the odds. I said I have to buy them now.

Pure Gold -016, BWS 082, MMM-044, MDP 018 all losers.

I would love to get the next MDP, but I have seen 8 losers in a row on that one before, so I will have to pass. From now on it will be $10/$20 occasionally here and there. My next PC job will net me $300 and I think I will take it to the casino and see if I hit better than what a roll would produce.

I always thought similiar with sports bets. If you keep betting the amount you are down, you have to hit eventually and break even... right? :)

With sports bets it really is 50 / 50. you can argue that scratch offs are the same, you either win or lose, but really you lose 75% of the time

I watched a few bets today, there was one i called that won payout was 7 to 1 i should of put 5 grand down would of won 35 grand ....

Spent $30 at Giant and got a small profit, winning $32. Results:

                      1 20x the Money (#042) - lost

2 Lucky Cherry Slots (#058 and #059) - #059 won $15 total with a triple cherry. Was hoping that would be bigger.

                      1 Diamonds & 7s (#025) - won $10 (I could record this for every time I win on a $10 ticket - LOL)

1 Cash Up (#066) - won $3 (the other machine had three lose from #065-067 last night, so glad this bin was different)

                      1 Whole Lotta Hundreds (#135) - won $4

So, low prize amounts but glad to see a lot of wins. I think a $20-30 max per day is best for sure until things get better in PA.

                        Eek Done with the scratchers!

Wow, James I don't know what to tell you about the sports betting, that sounds like a large amount of

money for a shot at just $15k...once and done.

Personally, I'd take it and go a few $20's at a time in instants from different stores..... it would last much

                        longer too.

I'd steer clear of the pack tactic and go singles 2 - 3 at a shot from different places.

I know you said you're done but maybe you can be done with the pack method.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do!!

I ended up chasing the winner on Million Dollar Platinum. 3rd one won $50, so I am down $10. I then bought 5-Whole Lotta Hundreds. I won $4 on one. Played 2-Electric 8's and won $2. Then got the next one and hit $8. Got the last on the roll and thne 3 7-ups. I didnt play them yet. the $2 tickets seem more fun and easier on the wallet.

Edit**. Played those 4 tickets and one 7-up hit for a free ticket. my $10 is def lasting alot longer than when i go after $5/$10 tickets

I found some real good ones on $2 tickets over time. Good luck on them oh and WTG on the $50 Platinum win!!

Thanks, but I bought 3 last week and then 2 more, so it was the 6th ticket in a row. Just nice to know it wasn't a simple $20 back. I think I will learn the $2 games. I never play them, so in my eye, they are all new to me :)
