Congrats on the wins. You seem to hit better than the rest of us here in PA :) My fun money is gone, so the next money I get, I will be trying my luck again at Hollywood Casino. Might even get a ticket or two from there also. I can atleast make my money last longer up there..  I was going through some of my old photo copies. It was a $10 Money to Burn ticket. I get a symbol(straight up) for $100. Those were the days when symbols meant something. Knowing my luck, the next symbol I find with be a 20X with $0 under it. lol

LOL!! LOL!!

omiller..that is funny!...can you imagine finding a potentially 'kick up your heels' kind of symbol..and have

it lose? I'd be over at headquarters demanding a real payment...wait, they'd probably only pay the ticket

price or give a replacement that yielded $0.00. So they win again anyway.

There used to be good days...and they were finding $100's - Cash Fever used to be a sure thing almost

- bonus areas abundant with either black or red $100's...I haven't seen one of those in a long time.

I think things are turning around somewhat, not too happy that more and more tickets that used to be

$100 winners have now dropped down to $20 or $50 winners. I still really believe that they printed duds

in a long stretch on most tickets to run about 3 weeks. Not sure what they're building - maybe towards

the raffle..that might make sense but even last raffle, I don't remember the instants changing so drasti-

cally.

Thought I would take a chance at a Wawa I never played before. Stopped for dinner after my golf league. Got 1 Cash Extravaganza #028 = Loser.. Judging by the lack of posts lately, I am thinking everyone is slowing up and i don't blame anyone.

I got one ticket and wish I took some of the other money and played more. Way better odds than scratch offs. Plus being a future game it is like my $20 is lasting a month.

Yeah, nothing much to report. Spent $35 at the Royersford beer store and got $25. Yesterday was worse. I got:

          4 Hot $100,000 (#010-013) - #011 won $10 in the bonus. At least $5 can't be the bonus.

          1 Lucky Cherry Slots (#014) - won $10

          5 Electric 8s (#106-110) - #106 won $5

I have quit playing pretty much, for the exception of wednesdays and sundays where i will buy a scratch off or 2 and lotto ...

I went to a gambler anonymous meeting to check it out, and it gave me common sense which i had lost. 1 guy at the meeting shared his story, he started scratching 1 year ago and turned to buying as much as 5 rolls a day for 5 grand. he blew through 200 grand just the last 3 months alone ..... now he lost everything his house family car etc and is in major debt and on medication. after the meeting i asked what is the most he has won he said most was 1 grand lol. wow ....

            2014 Highest Winner: $500

JAMES - Thats good man. Sometimes you just gotta take a step back. Ive said it numerous times on here, a break always helps. Whether its a 2 week break or a month off, or just playing 1-2 times a week.

The main thing is, we all gotta understand, the house always wins. I've embetted that into my head everytime I think about buying a scratch off. I've saved so much money by taking this long break.

              Good luck to you man

                Hello,

Anyone notice on PA lottery website that for the ticket Diamonds and 7's $10 tickets..it is showing that there are still 17 $250.000 winners when they only printed 15, 34   $20,000 winners when they only printed 30 and 65   $10,000 winners left when they only printed 60...

typo errors I'm sure but misleading to scratchers....didn't check out any of the other ones..

Nope, not a typo or error.  Occasionally, the Pennsylvania Lottery restocks a game that has been more popular with players than anticipated, and that's the case with Diamonds and 7s -- the Lottery increased the total number of tickets available for purchase to meet players’ demand. In this circumstance, players will see the number of unclaimed top prizes increase from a previous week’s total.

But know that the game’s overall odds don't change if the Lottery increases the number of tickets available: if the Lottery decides to restock with 50 percent more tickets, it will increase the number of top prizes available by 50 percent.

Took the weekend off. Played my$28 today. A few of you mentioned Cash Extravaganza, so I played one of those, 1 20x and 1-Cashup. 20X won $5. Cashup had the typical 9 hits without a win and Cash extravaganza lost. $5 until I am done for awhile. Hopefully I can turn the $5 into $100..

I am 99% sure my Cash Extravaganza was -017 last week . Went next door to get a ticket for a co worker, saw ticket 018 hit $1000!!!!! Unreal :(

Was the ticket hanging up? That couldn't have been from the same roll, right? Still, I hate it when I miss big winners from the stores I go to. As far as I know, it's not happened more than a few times for me.

Yes. The guy next to work hung it up and told me it was bin #2. Bin #1 was only on ticket 14 and I am sure mine was 017. I wish I would have posted it here to confirm though. $1000 wouldnt have changed my life, but it would havemade up for the money I spent of late on tickets. Kinda like a kick in the gut and I would have rather not known.

James. Glad you got to see that side of it, as it helps us as well. Sometimes we get in that mindset that the winner has to be next. Well store A might not even have anything worth noting. Of all bets I can think of, instant lottery is the thing that is most out of our hands and the worse odds.  I always play with "fun" money, but since finding this site, I have seemed to play alot more(of course I had more spare cash also). I am def cutting back. I want scratch offs to be fun again, not depressing when you chase that big win.  My near miss on the $1K... If you love it, you have to set it free, now we will see if it comes back to me :)

You mentioned it a few times with sports betting. It kinda boils down to 50/50. Yeah there could be point spreads or certains odds on straight up bets, but it is still a winner or loser.  Scratch offs are the same. You either win or lose, however when you buy a $300 roll vs making a $300 sports bet things differ. You dont have as many chances(1 vs 60-300 tickets) to win back $300 with sports, but you have alot better odds to win it back.

Sorry to hear that, omiller. I agree with you; I'd rather NOT know of a big win in a store I go to a lot.

If poster PALottery is from the PA Lottery, I hope you are noticing all the complaints. To me, your games are hardly worth playing anymore. I think the state got way too complacent and people will cut back or quit because of all the losers and small wins.

The end of the roll means nothing anymore. Got #143-149 Electric 8s today, and what did I win? $2!

I agree too Matt..Like a fool..I bought the first 000-004 of the diamonds and 7's and won nothing..and the ends are duds too now on most rolls..

It is so funny how people have slowed down playing here..even the ticket hawks aren't out..I asked the lady at the store why it looked like a ghost town and she said no one is winning so no one is buying..can't keep playing when you keep losing..over and over and over...

the guy who spends 100's a day wasn't even there in a few days..she said he lost like 10 $10 tickets in a row, then only won $10...so he got discusted and hasn't been back..

Like I said the small wins on tickets is what is hurting people..

I have so many losing $5 bingo's here that I could wallpaper every room in my house with them..that is ridiculous..or if I added them all up I could have bought a new home..LOL

I sat there looking at them today and felt like a complete fool..if that didn't show me that the odds are ridiculous..I only ever won $500 twice in two years..nothing more than that..and I play daily..

You don't have to hit me on the head twice...

                            NOt anymore..

PALottery..if this is someone from the PA Lottery..

Since you know the economy is hurting..for the $5 tickets Instead of having 10 top prizes of $100,000 you need to make a ticket that the top prize is maybe $10,000 for 10 tickets and do the rest of $500 & $1000 winners..it would give way more people a chance to win $1000..because most people know they aren't going to win the big one..or the chances are so slim..1 in 960,000

You would at least feel like you had a chance if there were more $5000,  $1000 and $500 winning tickets...

I know people want to win BIG money..but right now the way the economy is people would be happy to win $1000

Just look at these posts of how many people have been playing for years and have never won $1000 or more...chances are 1 in 60,000...or 120,000

                              just something to think about
