GRT only has ten $500K and four $1.95M lump sum top prizes. If the game lasts a couple of years like past GR's those prizes could be put out few and far between. BDB still has 82 $1M and 6 $10M  left to win. Even the ten dollar $200MS still has 8 top $1M prizes. With those prizes still out there - what would you be buying ? I think GRT is another money maker for the Lottery. I talked to a lot of GRT players and not one won the Gold Nugget yet. My best wins were $100.

My buddy just hit $500 last night up in Leesburg (Lake County) at a BP gas station. He said it was a combination of 'coin' symbols and matched numbers of $50 prizes. It was #023.  So of course I go get one from the store next door to work--just a minute ago, and it was a loser. I've gotten I think 5 GRT so far, and only one was even a break-even twenty dollar winner. But at least my buddy hit five hundo! He hit a grand on FMC when it first came out... the most I've gotten on that one is two hundred. Since hitting those back to back hundos on Lucky for Life and BDB, I haven't hit anything! Goes in waves I guess. Should have gone for a BDB today instead of the GRT...alright, that's enough of these abbreviations.....and I swear, I grew up in Leesburg and Lake County has had several good winners over the years---after I moved away of course.... Lotto winning ticket at Winn Dixie in Leesburg, and a TEN MILLION dollar winner for BDB up in Fruitland Park (a little town 10 minutes north of Leesburg) and Fruitland Park also had a One Million Dollar winner on BDB. Anyway, just a little side-note.....but back to Gold Rush Tripler--- hasn't done me any good yet!!!!

I agree Skeptic. I've said it before on here about the FL lottery putting out "filler tickets" every so often. Meaning, they have new scratchers come out often and usually a Top Prize is claimed within first few days. Then they have "filler tickets" which are money makers for them. Where a Top Prize wont be claimed for a while.

I'm thinking the $5 "Money Maker" ticket is one of these fillers, as is the "Gold Rush Tripler"...I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't a Top Prize claimed on GR Tripler for a while. However, there could be a winner soon, and then not a winner for a looong time down the road.

Look what happened with the "Casino Action" game. There was the 1st winner on 11/12/2009 and then the 2nd $2 Mil winner didn't come until 5/13/2011. A year and a half later. Thats rediculous.

From my experience, when a new game comes out and I win $100 bux a couple times from buying 10 tickets or so, it seems to continue doing well. I've bought about 20 GR Triplers since 9/6. The most I found was a single $100 winner and haven't heard of anyone getting higher than that. Except for Win$500quick, who saw a $500 winner in a store she frequents.

For some reason I do seem to like the $10 Monopoly. I've won $500 once on it and $100 a few times even though I don't play it much.

In regards to the older games, I do like the $200 Mill Spectacular for some reason.

I think Im going to give up on Gold Rush Tripler for a while and go back to only Fantasy 5 for a few weeks. Im going to let the dust settle on GR Tripler and see if a Top Prize pops up and where it's from.

I'm still scratchin' my head wondering how guys like Marsh in Port Charlotte hit two monster wins I think within a year and the guy in the panhandle who also won two jumbos (within a year?) I'd give anything to know how the Lottery dispenses these kind of winning tickets. Is it pure luck ? Does the Lottery actually know if a roll sent out has a huge winner? I've heard a lot of answers/reasons/speculation about this,  but will we ever know when books with huge wins are sent ? I'd feel a lot better knowing if there are X number of jackpot winners out there now.

JAMES WHERE ARE YOU ?????? I need help with this and need to know why the odds for GRT seem to be different on the administative order site - 53ER11-50(1) From what the GRT ticket itself shows. All the odds show higher except the $500K and $3M top prize. These two match exactly with the ticket display odds but the lower tier prizes look way off ? I might be reading it wrong but here's what the admin site shows.

        $20 - 1/15

        $30 - 1/75

        $40 - 1/150

        $50 - !/150

        $100 - 1/200

        $500 - 1/1200

        $1K -   1/30,000

        $10K - 1/120,000

        $500K - 1/1,512,000/1

        $3M - 3,780,000/1

          Hey Skeptic,

I wondered about this too, and it seems that the odds for each game are extremely higher than the advertised odds on the Florida Lottery website. I've googled the game's name and "emergency rules" and found the same odds that you reference in your post. It appears that these are the odds 'per pool' released. When you consider the total number of tickets per pool and the total number of pools, and then divide by the total number of tickets--- you get the 'overall' odds that are advertised on the Florida Lottery's site. It makes me wonder if the odds that you mention are the true odds, taking into consideration how many pools are released at any given time....? I don't know, man. It's kind of difficult to figure out. Going off of the odds from the emergency rules documents, it seems that the odds are completely insanely high....and may explain why we all have so many duds.  In a mathematical way, the overall odds make sense. But when we consider the odds per pool, who's to say how many pools are released at any given time, and if those are the true odds? They cover themselves by calling them "estimated odds".

Those are the odds for the different COMBOS not overall odds. So getting a combo of $100 x5 for $500 is 1 in 2,400 while a "Gold Nugget" is 1 in 600

You have to add up the odds and divide by combos to get overall odds

I finally hit something on GRT, but nothing to get excited over.  I bought 3 last night at Publix in Ocoee.

              #7 - Loser

              #8 - Loser

              #9 - $20

So far to date I have had 10 GRT losing tickets and 1 $20 win.  -$200 loss

Come on Florida Lottery, play fairly!  Stop flooding the market with so many losing tickets.

Got ya, that makes sense:  Here's a breakdown using just the break-even twenty dollar wins as an example....

To begin with, there are 126 pools of 120,000 tickets TOTAL--including all prize levels and losing tickets. That's a total of 15,120,000 tickets.

For the break-even wins there are 3 different combinations to get to twenty dollars:

1,008,000 tickets of a combination of $5, plus coins.

                1,008,000 tickets of $10x2

                504,000    tickets of $20

                That's 2,520,000 winning tickets that value $20.

                15,120,000 divided by 2,520,000 equals 6.

Therefore, 1 in 6 chance of breaking even. Do that math for each prize level and the odds are as stated on the flalottery website.

Thanks Skeptic!. I bought 4 total today. I bought one on way to work, then 2 on my lunch break.  Then on way home I decided to pick up one more for the night at the gas station not far from home.  I usually only buy 1 at a time from different places. It's pretty rare that I buy more than 2. I RARELY buy 2 back to back on the $20 games. Sometimes if I buy one and it's a loser, I'll go back in the store and buy the next in line. I've found that if I chase a win I end up spending way too much and it's too easy to get caught up. 2 is usually my limit, then I move to the next store.

Good luck tomorrow I hope you snatch up a big one!
