Fiesty1 why dont you have a couple more numbers from 1 to 6 in position 1?
Well for a couple of reasons, first I am going on an "adjacent" number play in most of the lines. Then I paired according to numbers that hit together most often. I actually didn't want any 1-9 in the first position and instead was going to run a teen first position play ... but I'm betting on 8 following last night's 9. I guess we'll see ...

Keep in mind that even though 1-9 plays more often than others in the first position, that would be what I'll call a "regular" play. Going for the higher start will be a "special" set. Just another variable when going for that jackpot!

There goes that "teen" start that I was thinking would show ...
Congrats to any and all winners!
Yup! And #18 in the first position doesn't happen a lot. According to the "Range Chart" I just made for 2015, #18 hit in the first position eight times. It had 46 hits in 2015, so that's 17% of it's hits in 2015 in position number 1..
It hit in both the number two and number three positions fifteen times, so it's definitely a smarter pick in the number two or number three position. G5

For those of you that may not have been reading it, there's a thread in The Pick5 Forum about playing Florida Fantasy Five Smarter by using "Range Analysis". It's definitely worth reading, and now that Maxodds has placed a year to date version of his Range Analysis chart for Take5 in it, it's worth reading more than ever! G5

Yes indeed! And you've touched on something I've been working on for a lil while now ... and that's looking at and trying to narrow down a specific pattern or couple of patterns to play when looking for that "high" start. To minimize the number of lines to play while still maximizing the possibility of a 4/5 or 5/5.
For example, when a teen hits in the first position what will happen next? Will it be another teen, a twenty or a thirty? We can have
teen-teen-twenties-twenties-thirties - (I'll abbreviate going forward Teen = TE, Twenties = TW and Thirties = TH, just for expediency)
TE-TE-TE-TW-TH
TE-TE-TE-TE-TW
TE-TE-TE-TE-TH
TE-TW-TW-TW-TH
TE-TW-TH-TH-TH
TE-TH-TH-TH-TH
I'm sure I've left out some of the patterns but you can get the general idea from what I've laid out here. Keep in mind that this is not an "everyday" play method, but would be either in addition to the other types of play or a "wait and watch" for the "right" conditions type of play. Brings us back to the "patience and discipline" thing I mentioned in the other thread! Also, its a play for the "higher" payouts that happen when mostly high numbers are drawn. Look at how many combinations can be eliminated when the focus is more narrowed ...
