Hi Give Five!
I'm busy being a caretaker for a sick family member, that's why some things I used to enjoy, like posting and reading posts on this forum have gone by the wayside because I lack the amount of spare time I used to have, but I still thought about you and Thrifty and Kapla, etc. it was fun to try and figure out SM with you guys. A few weeks ago I tried a new strategy, I played all 40 Sweet Millions numbers, 7 tickets worth, hoping the six winning numbers would fall on the same line, but I ended up with only one ticket with three winning numbers.
I stayed at Foxwood's last week, and l saw that Lucky for Life advertisement at a convenience store, but I didn't pay any attention to it because I thought it was a scratch off game, and CT scratch offs have low prize money in comparison to the NY games. One game in CT advertised a prize of "up to (the amount was listed, but I forgot it), so that turned me off. It could have been the Lucky for Life game, I don't know, but whatever game it was I figured it was like a pari-mutuel payout, not a set amount like NY has, so I wasn't interested. Now I know from your post that Lucky for Life is a draw game. A woman who works at lottery headquarters upstate told me about the replacement game for Sweet Million.
No luck at Foxwood's this trip, a women on the slot machine next to me won $600 on a Quick Hits penny machine, she was so excited. Last trip I won approximately $500 on the dollar Double Diamond Wheel of Fortune machine at Mohegan Sun, got a nice return when a few of those double diamonds lined up for me, and then I spun the wheel for another $100. I don't like the new slot machines with multiple lines, some lines you can't see on the machine, so you can't tell if you hit something good until the money meter starts going up after the spin, it takes all the excitement out of playing for me.
Foxwoods continues to have financial troubles, starting last week they shut down a big part of the Rainmaker casino during the week (just my luck) and they will only open it on the weekends (that's when the hotel guests pay more money to stay there), so I couldn't play some of my favorite machines, but if they are doing that badly, Mohegan Sun is probably a better place for the slot player.
Hi Jacal...nice to see you back here.
Lucky for Life is played in 6 New England states, Conn, Mass, RI, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. It's two bucks per line and has 41 million to one odds to win the top prize of $7,000 a week for life.
I used to play it quite a bit a few years ago when I was driving over to Connecticut to see my daughters that went to college over there. One of them graduated in 2012, and the other will graduate a year from now, so we dont get over there as much as we used to. Our younger daughter has her car over there, so I dont have to take her to school or drive over there to pick her up like I used to.
I dont know if you've seen or heard about that raffle for 1 million dollars that Connecticut is running right now. It's called "SuperDraw" and it has 275,000 to 1 odds to win the top prize of 1 million dollars. Tickets are on sale for it now, and cost 10 bucks each. If they dont sell all of the tickets, then the odds will be reduced to however many tickets they actually do sell. It will be drawn on Sunday July 6th. You can get a ticket for it at any lottery retailer in Connecticut. Because it's a raffle, there has to be a winner of the million dollars. There are some pretty good lower tier prizes too. I'm in a pool at work with 7 other guys, and we buy a total of 24 tickets for it. We each throw in 10 bucks a month for the three months tickets are on sale. The last time Ct had it (January 1st 2014) we won a hundred bucks. (Well, we actually lost 140 bucks, but I'm sure you knew what I meant!)
Last year for the July 4th SuperDraw drawing, the winner of the million didnt come forward until late August. He was a guy from Long Island. In May, he was driving on I-95 in Connecticut and got stuck in a killer traffic jam. So he pulled off I-95 into a rest stop to take a break from the traffic mess. He'd never heard of SuperDraw, but saw a sign for it in the convenience store in the rest stop. He liked the low odds, so he bought a ticket and stuck it in his wallet. Since the drawing was during the 4th of July, he had forgotten he had bought the ticket the previous May. He didnt notice the ticket in his wallet until it was almost Labor Day!!! He went on the Ct Lottery's website, checked his ticket, and found out he had won a million bucks!!! Can you imagine if he had lost his wallet with that ticket in there????? LOL!! Take care G5

Hi Give Five,
Thanks for the nice welcome back and explaining the CT lottery tickets!
Well, I have to go and figure out PB before I go out today, but I will probably get mostly QP's again to save time. I had been picking just the red ball and getting the white ball QP's (I learned about doing a partial QP on this thread, I think you posted about using this strategy), I had a strategy where I would play five tickets with the red ball numbers that came out on the five previous draws, it was working pretty good for a while (at least I got some return on my money, even if only a small amount) but then it stopped working. Last year someone from Yonkers won the million dollar second prize on a PB QP from a liquor store on the Hudson River side of town. Imagine winning a million without the Power Play, and for just another dollar the winner could have won the two million second prize instead!!!! I don't think most players understand the Power Play, because when I ask for it in the store and other customers here me, they ask me to explain it.

In our pool at work, we have enough players (usually 20 or more people get in the pool) that when I buy the tickets, I mark each bet slip with a different PB (or MegaBall) number so that each and every one of them is covered. That way we always have the MegaBall or The PB, and are guaranteed to win a few bucks every time we play. As for the first 5 white balls, I simply mark the QP square on the bet slip. If we ever got lucky and had two or 3 white balls on the same line that we had the winning PB/MB number we might win some additional cash.
I know that you know this jacal, but NEVER PLAY PB OR MM WITHOUT BUYING THE POWER PLAY OR THE MEGAPLIER!!! I don't want to know what it would feel like knowing I just won a million dollars, and have my bubble burst by finding out for a crummy one dollar more I could have had another million!
In Sullivan County a few years ago, a guy went into a deli and asked the woman behind the counter for a MM QP. She accidentally hit the button for the Megaplier and asked the guy for 2 dollars. He told her he didn't want the ticket, so she hit the machine again and gave him a 1 dollar QP ticket. She decided to buy the 2 dollar ticket for herself rather than cancel it and throw it away. This happened back when if you bought the Megaplier, the 2nd place prize of $250,000 was increased to a million. You know what happened, don't you? She hit 5 numbers with that ticket and won a million bucks. Turns out the guy lives right down the street from the deli. Can you imagine him going by that deli every day knowing there's a woman inside it that is a millionaire because he passed on the ticket she mistakenly created???? I wouldn't want to know what that feels like either. And she isn't going anywhere anytime soon. She owns the deli.

Hey mrsD!
Surely you didn't think I was gonna bail out on SM just cuz I played T5 last nite????
Nope! I'm in it until the bitter end on June 30th.
If you have been fooling around with A+, then I'm sure you've learned a few things. Here's how I try to apply what I see in A+ to playing the game.
Since SM began way back on Sept 17th of 2009, the 4 has hit the most at 94 times. There are 10 SM drawings to go until June 30th, and the 39 and the 37 have hit 88 and 86 times respectively. So they have a shot at either equaling the 4 or passing it. (That's if the 4 doesnt hit or hits very little between now and June 30th.) Will they do it? Dont ask me cuz I dunno. But I'm gonna have a little fun by keeping my eye on that situation to see if it happens.
IMHO, the 39 has the better shot at equaling or passing the 4. It's hit 10 times this year, and it's most recent hit was last Monday. The 37 is close behind though. It's on a 6 skip, and has hit 8 times so far this year. It's gonna have to get super hot to equal or pass the 4 though. So I'm a little gun shy of the 37. To tell you the truth, I doubt either one of them will get to 94 hits, but you never know nuthin when it comes to playing the lottery.
Urb Kress doesnt like the 37 between tonite and June 23rd either. Here's a line I got from Urb that I'm gonna play tonite: 2 7 11 30 34 39 I like that line for a couple of reasons. First, it's got 3 three numbers in the 30's. We're way over due for a triple 30. Secondly, the 39 is a repeater. The 7 is a huge long-shot having skipped the last 30 drawings, and the 2 is a 7 skip hitting only once this year. The 30 hasn't hit much this year either.
So that's my brand of very un-scientific analysis that's managed to win me a bunch of three baggers but not much else. Good Luck tonite! G5

Hey G5!
I'm glad you are sticking it out in here with me til the end! Yes I have been playing around with A+. And this is what I see based on the info. I'm still learning though so bear with me..... LOL
Since we have had mostly low numbers, the High/low bias is now at L+12. So I would be looking for mostly higher numbers.
We have also had mostly Odd numbers so consider more evens in your plays.
The last sum was 98. And since we need higher numbers, go for a higher sum!!!
The 7 - 35 - 21 are all out long. The 7 & 35 are out 30 games. The 35 is past the longest out skip of 22. This I this would be a very long shot. BUT we do need higher numbers so I am including it in my wheel tonight. The 7 has a long out skip of 35 so it is creeping up to it........
I am wheeling 18 digits to get 42 lines tonight. Yes, I'm spending the money tonight! LOL I did it also on Monday but the best I won was $12. (4 lines of 3/6).
I will post my wheel and lines in a little bit after I fine tune a few things.....
It would be really GREAT if we all can get a piece of SM before it's gone!

As I told the Mink Man in a PM, I'm toying with the idea of buying 100 dollars of SM as kind of a "Swan Song"...
But I aint had the nerve to do it yet........ that, and I gotta come up with a hundred bucks which aint been all that easy to do lately.
Actually, I probably have a lot of nerve to even think I could possibly win anything tonite. That's because I was incredibly lucky earlier this week. Our youngest daughter, she's 20, is on a college class trip to Ireland. She's not on vacation, it's a course for college credit. She's been there almost two weeks. Last Tuesday at about 6:30 in the morning my phone rang. I didn't recognize the number, it was a long crazy number, so I didn't answer it. A few minutes later, the phone rang again and it was that same crazy number. It dawned on me that the call was an international call, and I realized it was my daughter calling so I answered it.
Sure enough it was her. I asked her how she was doing, and thru tears she said to me: "A few hours ago, I was hit by a car." I was in total shock, as was her mother. She was fine, they took her to a hospital and checked her out. They told her that she'd be fine and to go home and rest and take tylenol because she was "going to be sore." She said she was scratched and bruised but other than that she was fine. Apparently a woman driving a car veered up on to the sidewalk my daughter and her classmates were walking on. She swerved on the sidewalk to avoid hitting another car. My daughters friends said she "did complete flip in the air, and hit a fence on the way down to the ground." My daughter never saw it coming as she was clipped from behind. She had no idea of what had happened to her when she hit the ground. Her friends helped her up and told her what had happened.
So guys, I doubt I'll win much tonite. I already won the lottery this week. G5

Actually Kap, the thirty's have been light all month. If I did the math right, the thirty's have seen just 8 hits this month.
The teens has been where the action is...16 hits for the teens this month.
