I usually have lucky pick and one combination in my wallet. Hopefully I will be able to hit the jackpot soon before I ran out of money.

        Thanks for your post Kurt,

I keep a couple of favorites that I play often. Good strategy and its just a matter of time.

Just shows that 63.3% of the time, eliminating the 5 numbers from the previous drawing won't effect your chances of winning a jackpot.

Just one question for you RJ,

Does the 63.3% apply to any 5 random numbers??

Because it should not make a difference which 5 numbers you apply.

Randomness is randomness, so last 5............ or any 5 should not matter whatsever         Lightbulb Idea

That's what happened in the previous 734 MM 5/56 drawings.  You know random, anything can happen, but I wouldn't expect that to change much in the future unless the matrix change.

                    So for example,

do that numbers 1,2,3,4,5 have a 63.3% chance of NOT showing in tonight's drawing?

The numbers 1,2,3,4,5 are in 38.5% of all the five number MM combos as are any other five numbers including a number or numbers from the previous drawing. Don't know how much it would improve the odds of any 28 numbers by excluding the five previously drawn numbers, but the probability is that none of them will be repeat 64 drawings a year.

The reason RJ's figures are almost are almost 2% higher is because those figures are based on only 733 possible outcomes and mine are based on almost 4 million. The probability is a 61.5% chance of none of those numbers showing. For those following trends, they did have a 2% better chance than probability by excluding all five numbers from the previous drawing.

                        Ok, thanks Stack,

So only a slight differance between current "trend" and actual statistical odds.

Good information to look at and think about.

The 63.3% referred to individual numbers repeating in the next drawing after they were drawn so only 3 and 4 are effected.  Why did you include 1,2, and 5 in your question?

I was looking to see if ANY 5 numbers had the same chances of NOT repeating and Stack came to the rescue with odds of any 5 repeating. I think he said about 61% or there about.
